Oh so much irony, when i used that site on him and the good Senator when we were discussing the tax breaks the source was a far right mixed factual site going by that. Which they dismissed. Now they're singing its praises trying to say reputable news sites are right center.
I'm about as shocked by that as I am by Biden running for president, honestly.

Speaking of gerrymandering:
Looks like Michagan is going to have to redraw it's entire congressional maps due to gerrymandering. Judge ruled today they have til August to redraw their maps. GOP state congress will preside, but the judge has to approve.

The worst kept secret in US politics is out:
Biden is running for President.
Still think he is the Dems best shot to make Trump go away, though he is coming across as awfully tired right now and the fun hasn't even begun.

Maybe? With a field this big..and this early....I just don't know.
And...to be completely honest....since I can't vote in the primaries, I pretty much have to stand on the sidelines and watch the dems do their work and pick someone. I pay attention, but not in the same way I would if I got a vote.

They really need to rectify that, you shouldn't be penalized for having no party affiliation.

you think being "liberal" means "being in the middle". it does not. But it makes sense that you think the media is "center" since you equate that with liberal.
Yes I think so.
Maybe because I'm from one of those scary socialist countries that scare the shit out of many over there.

check out this website:
https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/left/
click on "Left Bias" and you will see CNN, MSNBC, and other mainstream media.
Click on "Left-Center" and you will see ABC, CBS, NBC, New York Times, NPR, and most major newspapers.
"Right-Center" you'll see WSJ.
"Right Bias" is Fox News.
Most of your examples are in the center right there.

As for Bush, how quickly you forget....
https://www.americanprogress.org/issues/general/news/2008/11/20/5248/think-again-the-bush-legacy-war-on-the-press/
It's interesting, on this board, Bush was routinely called a Nazi. the media was very unfair to him and promoted the dumb and evil persona that many on the left wanted to believe were true. now, he's a darling of the left and the media. I guess he did get them all the war they so desperately wanted. apparently, if you go against trump, you can do anything and the liberals will love you. in their minds, trump is worse than the individual responsible for years of an unnecessary war and getting thousands of Americans killed in combat. unbelievable.
Bush was a pretty bad president. Went to war without any proper evidence.
But still, no matter how much bad he did that the media didn't like, he had more class than the current one.
/jarmo
I have no idea what liberal means in whatever country you live in. your definition as it relates to US politics if incorrect.
most of my examples I included are biased. there is a category on that website called "least biased". the AP falls into that category. it's a dangerous situation when your major media outlets are biased. history has shown us that, and we should learn from it.
i'd rather have a class-less president who does a great job. I wonder if the families of all the dead soldiers in Iraq give a rats ass about how much class Bush had. I know the families of soldiers today are happy that Trump has not been in a rush to get us involved in any unnecessary wars, or force any regime changes.

They still have the word center in their descriptions...
Not all of them are as "left biased" as you want to portray. That's probably the main issue. Everything on the left of the far right seem "left biased" to someone with that opinion.
Yes, everything tot he left of Fox News is "left".... Surprise!
To most people that's fine. They don't need a right bias for their news. They can read multiple sources and get their news.... What happened in the world. And that's it.

So you're applauding him for not sending troops abroad and thus having less people killed? Ok.....
On that note: What is he doing to stop mass shootings inside the USA?

so you are accusing me of being "Far Right". and you are also accusing me of believing that everything to the left of far right is biased.
real nice. sorry you feel that way.
but here you have an independent source that is saying all of those major networks have left-leaning bias. and cable networks are full on biased. anyone that follows the news can easily understand that. do you watch these networks? if you don't, it's a little odd that you have an opinion on them.
as for mass shootings, Trump has banned bump stocks and called for an increase in the age for legal purchases from 18 to 21. but mass shootings are tough to prevent. there's no single solution that will work. anyone can very easily get any weapon they want illegally. Dems and Republicans can't agree on how to prevent it, and neither are willing to budge much to address the issue. it's been a known issue for decades, and it doesn't matter who is prez, nothing gets done.

I'm not accusing you of anything.
Just saying that if you stand at the top of the Empire State Building, being on the tenth floor isn't high up..... Everything's relative.
My point still stands, most of what you listed, and how it was described, was center. Nothing was center-center! It was center left or right. Still far more left than Fox News!

but you're missing the point. the media shouldn't be about "left" or "right" or even "center." you are getting caught up on the word "center". forget about that.
the key word is BIAS. the media shouldn't be. and there are major media outlets that are essentially non-biased. The AP is one of them. the category "least biased" is on that website as well (essentially the "center-center" that you suggested does not exist). the AP falls into that category.

Obviously it shouldn't be biased. But we're talking about people. Everyone has their opinion.
It's a matter of how do you want your news? From the point of view you have, or the opposite? Or maybe something in between....
It's impossible to be all neutral. How would you pick the news stories themselves? What's important to you might not be to me. And so on. That alone is a bias!

For me personally, i don't care if it is left of center, center or right of center. I want sources that are high factually and that don't fail fact checks. There are very few that are dead center and least bias but even those are gonna have a little bias. They still get to decide what stories to cover and how they will write the article.

GDP grew by 3.2% in Q1, far exceeding expectations. thanks Obama!
"Reports of the economic expansion’s death appear to have been greatly exaggerated.
The United States economy surged unexpectedly in the first quarter, the Commerce Department said Friday, allaying concern that financial-market volatility and a prolonged government shutdown would cause a slump."

For those crowing about the economic numbers, they should probably look more closely at the basis data.
The big impetus: State and Local government spending, likely spurred by the government shut down.
And Trade.
Both are volatile and not good basis for growth. The consumer portions of GDP (which are typically the better indicators of the economy) are at a 3 year low. And those are the pieces that will actually effect day to day economic decisions.
In addition, fuel prices are up around the country by an average of .30 a gallon. As Trump said, that's like a tax hike (well, he said tax break when they were low, but....) hitting you square in the pocketbook.
Without the spikes in the two sectors I mentioned, GDP growth would have been at, or just under, 2%. Which is in line with expectations.
To be clear (because the Senator will lie again, and say I'm saying the sky is falling): The economy is fine. Not great. Not stellar. Not "the best ever". But fine for now....with mounting evidence we're entering, at the very least, a slow down.

Also, I love how you openly operate on the level of a grade school bully with these juvenile nicknames, yet expect to be taken seriously in adult discussion.

I know the families of soldiers today are happy that Trump has not been in a rush to get us involved in any unnecessary wars, or force any regime changes.
Venezuela says hi.

as for mass shootings, Trump has banned bump stocks and called for an increase in the age for legal purchases from 18 to 21. but mass shootings are tough to prevent. there's no single solution that will work. anyone can very easily get any weapon they want illegally. Dems and Republicans can't agree on how to prevent it, and neither are willing to budge much to address the issue. it's been a known issue for decades, and it doesn't matter who is prez, nothing gets done.
He also called for violating the 2nd amendment. How did you like that one? You would be frothing at the mouth if Obama said that. Just a beautiful example of why his brain is fucking mush and the right is utterly hollow.
Neither side wants to budge? Bullshit, Dems have offered countless proposals and been fucking begging the GOP to work with them and the right just flat-out refuses. Again, you are the
worst
liar...

but you're missing the point. the media shouldn't be about "left" or "right" or even "center." you are getting caught up on the word "center". forget about that.
the key word is BIAS. the media shouldn't be. and there are major media outlets that are essentially non-biased. The AP is one of them. the category "least biased" is on that website as well (essentially the "center-center" that you suggested does not exist). the AP falls into that category.
And yet you've never cited the AP as a source... huh. It's almost like you're holding a double standard for evidence where liberals can only use evidence from the AP but you can use stuff from right wing think tanks and

I've said I like "Creepy" Joe and commented on the allegations. it's a joke. learn to lighten up a little.
I think I have recently sourced CNN and NY Times articles, which are left of center. you're very desperate.
my "adults" comment clearly got to you. I am finally realizing that you are probably a teenager. I should have picked up on that sooner. I apologize.
I know this is hard for your ego to comprehend, but we don't all hang on your every word. But please, do explain what was the setup and punchline of your "joke". I'll wait...
Apparently you don't know the basic concept of a "standard". Here's a start; it applies to your lowest efforts, not your highest. Sourcing a reputable outlet when you can and disreputable ones when you cannot is not meeting a standard. You're very desperate.
IDK what "adults comment" you're referring to, but you clearly must be insecure about your maturity to draw such tortured connections...
I'll take everything you failed to respond to as a concession, thank you.
