Just pointing out he again did something he said he wouldn't and when he tried to clarify he sounded even dumber. Both suck. I don't know but screaming on twitter that smart bombs are coming doesn't seem like the best idea.

Yes. I've said this before, too.  Potentially many, many slaps, but just slaps. And mostly against Cohen (and potentially enough slaps to financially ruin him), though I suppose the Trump campaign could see some fines and potential limitations imposed on "soft money" donations for 2020.

But, here's the thing: You would typically refer that type of investigation (if it were only that) directly to the FEC, not the Southern District of New York.  So you would think they have something a bit more than that, based on that referral.

IF extortion, coercion, bribery, money laundering, conspiracy, fraud, or OTHER potential crimes were committed by Cohen (in his role as "fixer", if, indeed, he held that role as alleged)...it will be a bit more.  But I would expect the focus to be on Cohen, NOT Trump.  I suspect that's largely why Rosenstein told Mueller to pass the information off to jurisdictional law enforcement.  But we'll see when the investigation wraps up....and we'll see what charges they bring, if any.

Who knows but the warrants name Trump and they seem particularly interested in the Access Hollywood tape. The question is why? All i can think of is they're looking for evidence that he tried to prevent it from coming out in ways that violate laws.

Today Muelller via the NYT confirmed Cohen was in Prague talking to the Russians in 2016 just as the dossier says. So much for that being fake news. Also, Cohen is definitely under criminal investigation.

It didn't.  They lost.

The judge is entertaining (has not decided, but is thinking about) appointing a special master (basically in a mediator capacity) to "ride herd" in the review process.  The defense (who would review the material at the same time the prosecution is....that's normal discovery) could bring any material they object to to the master, who would consult the prosecution.  If the prosecution disagrees, the master gets to decide one way or the other (or, if necessary, just refer any REALLY "iffy" material back to the judge for a final ruling").

But that doesn't prevent the prosecution from reviewing the material.  It would only, possibly, potentially (though not likely) prevent them from using some pieces of the material in their litigation. They'll get to see it all. The fact is that the judge, by going through this process, considers most of the material fair game....and likely so would that special master.
