Senate passes Russian sanctions despite Trump's objections of them being too hard on the ever honorable Putin while a moron Republican blames Obama for the DC shooting.

A lot of Trump supporters have been reminding me of the O'Doyles from Billy Madison. They'll be chanting 'Trump Rules' even as the car is going over the cliff.
Some appallingly ignorant and stupid people in America (and this thread), that's for sure.
we can't all be as smart as you guys. don't hate on those less fortunate than you....just be thankful you are so smart.
They don't know how to deal with a political opinion that differs than their own. So they just attempt to belittle, call them stupid, ignorant, etc instead of providing an argument with any substance.
Seems like we are still dealing with sore loser territory here.
Oh of course it's "sore loser territory" it couldn't be that the president and his associates are under investigation and they are doing everything they can think of to try and stop it. No that couldn't be it right?
is trump under investigation? there's so much BS thrown out there by the MSM I lose track some times. are you making that assumption and stating it as fact?
but I have a feeling most trump supporters will not accuse Hillary supporters of being dumb. I certainly don't see that in this thread. it's amazing how much more tolerant trump supporters are than the trump haters.
You can guarantee he is under investigation for at least obstruction of justice. The only bs media sources are the right wing conspiracy ones like fox, info wars and breitbart.
Trump supporters tolerant? Seriously? They are so tolerant that they murder people of colour. So tolerant that they want to remove the rights of the lgbt community. So tolerant that they want 22 million poor people to lose their healthcare. Yeah you guys are sooooo tolerant all right.
I have your guarantee??? well then. it must be true.
your boy comey confirmed the NYT reported fake news.
your statements about Trump supporters not caring about healthcare, poor people, or the environment shows a basic lack of understanding of what is going on in this country. and how trump got elected.
the leaders on the left talk a good game, but do they actually get anything done?
the top thing I hope Trump is extremely successful at is improving the lives of poor people and helping inner cities. i'm disappointed in him for not hitting this hard yet. I have hope that he will. the sad thing is, even if that were to happen, no one on the left would actually believe it. CNN and the Washington Post would make some shit up based on their confidential "sources".
as for healthcare, that's a tough one. but Obamacare is not working in many areas across the country. rates continue to increase and insurers are dropping out. I don't think it's a total disaster, but changes are needed. I hope he figures it out and is able to help the poor and not benefit the rich.
just pointing these things out because you said none of us care about these issues.
Now that's something we can agree on. Obamacare isn't the complete disaster the Republicans make it out to me and completely repealing it and replacing it with whatever they have planned and are keeping secret would be a bad idea. Obamacare can certainly be improved upon and that's what should be done imo.

By the way, your beloved Trump is now unequivocally under investigation for obstruction of justice according to the Washington Post
Keep in mind you're talking about the Washington Post. Their source for the article are " officials", no names were listed as sources.
We all knew Mueller was going to look at everything, so I'm not surprised he is looking into Trump. Doesn't mean he's guilty.
When they lead trump out of the White House in hand cuff are you still going to make excuses and deny what any sane person can see?
Just let the investigation play out and we'll all see what happens.
Neither you or I know what the outcome will be, though you've already found him guilty.
Maybe you should give the let the investigation play out advice to trump. He is clearly hell bent on trying to get it to go away. Innocent people don't do that sort of thing...

And apparently has confirmed on Twitter he's under investigation for obstruction and is considering firing the special council and another guy involved in the investigation. Innocent people do not consider firing people investigating them.

I'm laughing my Ossoff !
It was a kinda close election in a traditionally solid republican district so I wouldn't say it was a Trump mandate by any means.
I guess when you get millions and millions of dollars from Hollywood celebrity donations it helps. Is that what they call collusion by a foreign state?

There hasn't been a dem elected in either of those districts since the 70's. I'm not sure why the dems even though they had a chance, there. Crazy stupid places to pin your hopes on, IMHO.
But the fact they were close is a little nuts. Especially given the Repub in Georgia was running against a political neophyte who didn't even LIVE in the district (kudos, Dems, on THAT candidate choice). Previous Repub candidates in those districts won by double digits....and one by 20+ points. If I were Repubs, I'd sweat the margins (they won't....they're popping kegs again over winning districts they SHOULD WIN). One of them overperformed Trump by something like 2%, the other underperformed him by about 15%. But either way, these are not the seats the Dems should be spending warchest money on. Stupid.
And that outside money that pours in, and the media attention on those specials, I would say rallied the Repub base as much, if not more, than it helped the Dems margins. I have friends in Georgia, on both sides, who were pretty pissed off at what they saw as "interference" from the outside. I'd be pissed if the same thing happened in CT.

I find this disappointing. Not that I was going to vote for him, but he seemed like one of the more honest ones running last year.
But then he got the lake house & backed Hillary ( the person who royally screwed him over.) Now there's this.
http://www.cbsnews.com/news/bernie-and-jane-sanders-under-fbi-investigation-for-bank-fraud-hire-lawyers/
Bernie and Jane Sanders, under FBI investigation for bank fraud, hire lawyers
Last Updated Jun 24, 2017 6:21 PM EDT
Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and his wife, Jane Sanders have hired prominent defense attorneys amid an FBI investigation into a loan Jane Sanders obtained to expand Burlington College while she was its president, CBS News confirms.
Politico Magazine first reported the Sanders had hired lawyers to defend them in the probe. Sanders' top adviser Jeff Weaver told CBS News the couple has sought legal protection over federal agents' allegations from a January 2016 complaint accusing then-President of Burlington College, Ms. Sanders, of distorting donor levels in a 2010 loan application for $10 million from People's United Bank to purchase 33 acres of land for the institution.
According to Politico, prosecutors might also be looking into allegations that Sen. Sanders' office inappropriately urged the bank to approve the loan.
Burlington attorney and Sanders supporter Rich Cassidy has reportedly been hired to represent Sen. Sanders. And high-profile Washington defense attorney Larry Robbins, who counseled I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, former chief of staff to Vice President Dick Cheney, is protecting Jane Sanders.
Ms. Sanders' push for the liberal arts college's costly land acquisition was cited in a press release by the college when it shut down in 2016.
Brady Toensing of Burlington, the man responsible for the claims filed to the U.S. attorney for Vermont, was a chairman for the Trump campaign in his state.
"I filed a request for an investigation in January 2016 and an investigation appears to have been started right away," he said in an email to CBS News. "It was started under President Obama, his Attorney General, and his U.S. Attorney, all of whom are Democrats."
"My only hope is for a fair, impartial, and thorough investigation," Toensing added.
Weaver told CBS News that Toensing's claim that Sen. Sanders used his influence to lobby for the loan is a "political charge" that is "baseless" and "false."
And as for the claim that Ms. Sanders manipulated the loan application, Weaver said, "The loan was approved by the financial board at the college."
Sen. Sanders, formerly mayor of Burlington, Vermont's largest city, regards the claims as a political game levied against him after his run for president in the 2016 primary election, a platform which has transformed the small-state senator into an influential voice in American liberal politics.

Sammy Hagar's take on Trump: ( Thought this was interesting....and pretty accurate. )
How would you grade Trump as a president so far?
I don?t think you can grade him yet, because the poor guy can?t get anything done. The opposition has become so crazy that they?re not gonna even give him a chance. I?d like to see him have a chance. He?s the president of the United States, and without getting any changes he ain?t helping us. So maybe he makes some changes that don?t work, and then maybe the next guy will come in and say, ?That didn?t work, I?ll do it this way.? Because I don?t think anybody knows what the fuck they?re doing out there right now.

Except not entirely. Monday's ruling means the travel ban "may not be enforced against foreign nationals who have a credible claim of a bona fide relationship with a person or entity in the United States,? the court wrote. So the ban cannot be applied to visa applicants who have a close relationship to a family member in the U.S. or who want to come here to study or accept a job offer. That 9-0 vote also only means they agreed to hear arguments on it in October. Keep trying to make it seem like a complete win though. You also do know no one from those countries has ever attacked us?

One thing this 9-0 ruling does show how biased & political the 9th circuit court of appeals is as well as the Hawaii judge & the various state AG's who blocked it.
When you've got Ginsburg, Kagan and Sotamayor agreeing with letting the travel ban proceed even on a more limited basis, that's saying something. Does that make them racist?

CNN really is fake news:
http://www.veritaslive.com/06-26-2017/americanpravdacnn.html
NEW VERITAS VIDEO: American Pravda: CNN
CNN "ratings are incredible right now," President Trump "good for business"
John Bonifield, CNN Producer Says Russia Narrative "Mostly bullshit right now"
"Get back to Russia," Says CEO Jeff Zucker
President Trump is Right About Witch Hunt, "No real proof"
Comes in Wake of CNN's Russia-Gate Retraction & New Rules on Russia Coverage
(NEW YORK) -- Project Veritas has released a video of CNN Producer John Bonifield who was caught on hidden-camera admitting that there is no proof to CNN's Russia narrative.
"I mean, it's mostly bullshit right now," Bonifield says. "Like, we don't have any giant proof."
He confirms that the driving factor at CNN is ratings:
"It's a business, people are like the media has an ethical phssssss... All the nice cutesy little ethics that used to get talked about in journalism school you're just like, that's adorable. That's adorable. This is a business."
According to the CNN Producer, business is booming. "Trump is good for business right now," he concluded.
Bonifield further goes on to explain that the instructions come straight from the top, citing the CEO, Jeff Zucker:
"Just to give you some context, President Trump pulled out of the climate accords and for a day and a half we covered the climate accords. And the CEO of CNN (Jeff Zucker) said in our internal meeting, he said good job everybody covering the climate accords, but we're done with that, let's get back to Russia."
Bonifield also acknowledged: "I haven't seen any good enough evidence to show that the President committed a crime." He continues:
"I just feel like they don't really have it but they want to keep digging. And so I think the President is probably right to say, like, look you are witch hunting me. You have no smoking gun, you have no real proof."
"To report not on facts, but instead on narratives that yield high ratings, is exactly the definition of fake news," said James O'Keefe. "We said we are going after the media, and there is a lot more to come."

so basically trump haters have been played. by the MSM no less, which is now proven to be fake (not that anyone with half a brain had any doubts). I especially love the Van Jones video. and the NY Post cover:
"The Most Busted Name in News"
classic stuff.
really rough stretch here for the trump haters:
- CNN exposed
- Russiagate dead
- "nothing burger"
- Seattle minimum wage hike has killed jobs and cost low income workers an average of $125/month (liberals proven wrong once again)
- travel ban
- 5-0 in elections since trump
- Republicans outpacing Dems in fundraising
- Dems had worst fundraising May since 2003; April was weak as well
- Dem leaders admitting they have no message
and on top of all this, Trump MAY get another SCOTUS appointment....changing the "slant" of the SC for a generation.
get on board! fun times!

If CNN wants to be relevant and considered legitimate again, they need to get rid of Zucker. Right now they're a joke.
CNN"s nonstop coverage with the fake stories and the unnamed sources is more about ratings than fact. When your news organization puts ratings and money above the facts, they cease to be a news organization. Think about this - With all the leaks, you'd think if we can get a word for word conversation between Trump and a world leader, wed get something regarding the Russia collusion.

I think CNN will (has?) become a TV version of the National Enquirer. but I think the other cable news channels will as well. their audience is extremely old, and the new media is taking over. there is less and less of a need for cable news. and they are not serving any good at this point. I know nothing about Zucker, but maybe he sees this and is ahead of the game? or maybe he will just be lucky.
I think it will be a challenge because younger people barely watch TV, and certainly are not watching cable news in large numbers.
the thing the cable news channels have in their favor, is that a large percentage of people just want to hear negative things about the other party, even if its not true.
