Hopefully someone from the past will come in to replace Bumble and Dj.
Slash, Izzy, Bucket or Robin. I will be happy with either of them.
Good luck Dj.

So, whats your thoughts for the near future of GNR? Will there be 2 new guitarists? Or will the band change even more? Do you think the nembers have known things since Vegas? Are there any truth in the rumours from back then?

I am at a loss to claims that this is exciting. It's like you don't really care who's in the band.
DJ has been such a positive force these last 6 years & has always talked about how he can't wait to add his personal touch to GN'R. Other band members spoke about the positive influence he has on Axl.
To me it only highlights that the GN'R camp is not in a good place.

I think its looking like some of that talk we heard was, in fact, accurate.
So...now what??

Rock history has always proven one thing ... Rock Stars Tour .... it never ends. I saw The Who this past May. Those guys are in their 70's and still rocking. Guns N Roses will be fine

You think Axl will continue? I'm starting to have my doubts.
Its a legit question. Does he have the fire to start over, yet again?
And what of all this alleged material? Hard to see that ever coming out now.
Awesome.

Was it Roger Daltrey and a bunch of randos though?

Maybe Stay of Execution is the name of Axl's next band?

Daltrey and Townshend.
I mean, it's not like Moon is going to rise from the grave to accompany them....
Edit: Entwhistle might, though. I hear they have a necromancer working on that....

I agree. To be 'excited' by this news presupposes a change in band persona will result in a more exciting situation than that which existed 2009-2015.

Do any of us, really?
Axl could pretty literally throw anyone out there and call it Guns N' Roses. Enough of us will rationalize how its all still good in the hood.
This is a blow. I was a never a huge DJ guy, but the bigger news here is what this represents. We can stop hoping anything will ever happen.
How many people have to leave this band for the same reasons before we can finally say out loud we have a problem here that will never improve?

Thanks for the good times DJ!
This explains why Richard went from its going to be a busy 2016 to i have no idea whats going on, in a short time.
Im also exited to see what is the next GNR chapter. Hopefully not a ''Classic era'' reunion that would be a huge step backwards.
I think the story has to go fowards. Getting Robin back would be cool nonetheless

My own concern is not touring but new material. We are often told that the 2009-15 line-up was the most stable line-up in gnr history yet it produced not a single note of released music. It is a fair bet that line-up changes will derail CD2 further.

If they bring back Robin then?

I don't think lineup changes will affect a release.....the only reason I say that is because how CD came out with Robin announcing shortly before he's touring with NIN than less then 4 months DJ is announced as a new guitarist

I could see Slash returning... I don't know if Sorum or Duff would follow suit. I don't see Tommy or Frank leaving.... Maybe Robin will comeback ?

I think that's over and done with.
As it was, it was going to be an album of material by guys long gone, with a new touring band to support it. Now we are down to the replacements of the replacements of the replacements.
Are we seriously supposed to believe that some new cast of characters is going to be all that interested in Rose-Buckethead-Finck-Huge material that has been sitting on the shelf for god knows how long, perhaps tweaked by Ron or DJ during their time in the fold?

Slash would be the least likely to return. And that would be mutual.
