What are parents in the US naming their baby boys? Quite a few of them "Axl" apparently.


In the list of trending names (climbing most spots in the popularity list) "Axl" ranked 2nd highest last year, only beaten by "Bode".

The name made a 624-spot leap.

There was a thing in a Finnish newspaper last month about how boys there are being named Axl, Iggy and such in Finland.

So it's definitely an international thing.

The oldest kid on the ABC sitcom 'The Middle' is named Axl.

I kept waiting for some cool backstory about why he's named that, but its been 5 years, and nada.
