It should be illegal to play afternoon games, in Texas, in August....at least without a dome.

Judging from the crowd turn out, I think a lot of locals where thinking it was illegal!

There's a guy at Citifield tonight with a sign that says Defaltor #12 following a guy with a Tom Brady jersey around. Priceless.

You missed the Donaldson shot then. It was a mammoth shot something like 445 feet and landed in the 5th deck of Rogers Centre.

I have Encarnacion on one of my fantasy teams, so I certainly liked it. Bautista on another. He didn't fare so well, but maybe tomorrow. I might have to start playing Revere as he's heating up.

Scary moment tonight at Turner field. A fan has fallen from the upper deck behind home plate and was carted off on a stretcher.

Revser is not heating up He is just finally starting for average. He is a career 300 hitter. Just balancing the books.
I would love to see him as our lead off man.
Sept will be interesting

Cards complete 7-3 west coast roadie and go to 38 over .500 and 4 1/2 up on the Bucco's.
Huge home stand coming up - Nats, Bucs and Cubs.
Things could separate or get tighter, gotta love pennant race baseball headed to September.

FWIW, faldor....I signed the petition to keep Don doing his think on NESN. It will probably do zero good, but even this long time Yanks fan can look at that situation and see Don's getting jobbed out (no pun intended).

Yeah I doubt it will do anything either. I signed it too. Tom Werner gave an interview over the weekend and said they felt the broadcasts needed re energizing. The new guy will come in, and I'm sure he'll do just fine. But this group has a history of letting people go in a less than graceful manner. From players, to managers, to GM's, to announcers. This is just another example of that. It's a weird situation. The Sox have won 3 World Series on their watch, so that can't be disregarded. But for all the success they've had, they still infuriate the fan base time and again, and for good reason too.
