That was something to see. Good for Flores. Whirlwind couple of days for him for sure. Maybe that trade that embarrassingly didn't go down will be a blessing in disguise. Especially if Cespedes breathes some much needed life into that offense.

That was really sweet. I love the Mets, but this is one of moments where you're happier for the player than you are for the team. The way the dugout just exploded for Flores was so cool to see. Also, was great that the fans were supporting him all night.

I think the trade for Cespedes was a better trade then the one that fell through. So i am glad Flores didn't get traded. He seems very happy as a Met.

It does seem that they gave up less to get Cespedes, who is having a better season than Gomez, and got to keep Flores. It is nice to see guys who love playing for a certain city. I've seen many guys who could care less where they're playing, as long as they're getting paid.
Maybe the tide is finally starting to turn for those Mets. They've had it tough the last decade or so.

I can't beleave the jays gave up 11 minor league pitchers in a the span of a few days. That's a ton of prospects.
Today they sent Danny velencia and correa for assignment and brought up Kawasaki. I don't know why... We need players like this when our roster expands to 40. Sure after the 10 day rule they will be brought back. May even just be for one game. Sure they are still in the club house actually

DeRosa, from Indians to Cards, for Perez.
That was like 2009 pilf!
Really? Then someone on mlbraderumors screwed the pooch. That came right from their feed.
Yep, that was Mark DeRosa traded for Chris Perez.

Pooch screwed!
Too funny! Someone hit the wrong button!

Huge walk off win there for the Mets.
They have to at least win this series, if not sweep it. They need to put pressure on the nats, if they want to have a shot at the division. And with their adds this week, i think they do.

Well they have DeGrom and Sindergaard going tonight and tomorrow. Gotta like their chances with those guys on the mound.

I do, in fact. Mets pitching lined up perfectly.

It really did. Harvey was fantastic last night and DeGrom and Syndergaard are always good. So the next two games should be fantastic to watch. On another note the Jays are looking damn good again today so far.

Teams can often get rejuvenated when they see the front office going all in and making big moves at the deadline. Too early to tell, but the Jays could be trending in thst direction.

Wtf bacon! I came in for a drink, checked score, and jays were killing the royals. Figured game was over.
Went out, worked some mre, back in for more gatorade, its the bottom of the 9th and jays are down??

Ouch! Looks like newly acquired Mark Lowe was the culprit. Not a promising debut there.

What a game! What a series this is. Rubber match tomorrow, should be good
Mark Lowe handy given up 4 runs all year gives up 3 this year. That heart of the royals order is very tough I am not going to blame him just yet. Jays almost came back again. Bottom of the 9th was very tense.

Bizzarro (and quite impressive) stat I just heard on the Cards game tonight:
They've had
21 consecutive winning months
, their last losing month was
June of 2012
.
That's insane.
