It sounds like he's done with GNR even though there's no official announcement.

No OFFICIAL word on status....but also no "current operation" to quit.

According to him, he quit. Which means he's not coming back when there's a tour again. Otherwise, what's the point in saying you quit if you only took a break from it like everybody else?  Huh

thanks Jarmo....I missed that

hey....I'm not trying to argue....but that "translation" appears to be talking Hypothetically about knowing "when its time to go"

Ron is always very verbose and theoretical in his musings...I still don't count that as confirmation

If it truely was him saying "I quit", then why hasn't he done it again?

I don't know....find the whole thing confusing as fuck, but in a court of law I don't find any evidence that is sufficient for a verdict yet

I want better info before I jump on that conclusion train

He felt the need "to resign". Is that official enough for you?

It's accurate.

Well, then that's that.

I think 99% of us already knew that, but I see no reason that doesn't go to the full 100 now. Unless you are just trying to be difficult.

Probably me.  I'm not trying to argue.  Just hate how the lack of info causes people to jump to conclusions.

Oh, I'm not directing that at anyone specific right now.  Absoltuely not.

That said, if someone did come on here and start up the trusty old "well, we really don't know, guys...", then yes, I would direct that towards them.  I would think they are just being difficult, contrarian, whatever the term might be.

But there reaches a point you can make a fairly educated guess though, right?

If you had to make a pro/con list of things that have happened in the past year to suggest Ron is still in the band, you'd have an overflowing column of "con" and an empty column for "pro".

At some point, you can make a call.

With the way this band works

Ron could quit or be fired 10 times over and we would never know about it.  In 3 years when Axl decides to tour again he could very well be on stage with the boys again

If that's the case, I suspect there'd be a lot of reconstruction of burned bridges.
