You said he chose to go public with everything.  I was just saying he hasn't gone public with everything or we wouldn't still be guessing 74 pages later.

What are you still guessing?
He changed his social media profiles to say GN'R 2006-2014. It's 2015 now.

Nobody knows about the future, but he's made it perfectly clear that he's focusing on his solo career, which ironically involves a band with Scott Weiland (who isn't in the band).

You are confirming he's quit the band?  I hadn't heard that before.

I liked him in the band, very skilled guitarist, enjoyed his solos for the most part, he had
this accident, then got sick (cancer) so I give credit to the man and forget about the
little shit he can say from time to time that doesn't concern me.

Buckethead, Bumblefoot...not easy to find the next guitarist, these are some brilliants axemen

I get what your saying, but your missing Ali's point.  She said Ron has brought on all of this....meaning all the negative talk towards him or the awkwardness of what's going on....Ron created this by going public.

Ali said "he set the stage for all of it."  For the criticism about going public in the way he did, yes.  For his situation in the band, what happened, we don't know.

But, all I am talking about is how this has played out publicly. I am not talking about his reasons for wanting to leave or the band for wanting him gone.

I think he planted seed for all this social media drama with that countdown tweet, which he made of his own free will.

There are two separate issues : 1) reasoning for the parting, and 2) how it's been handled.

I'm referring to the latter.

You are confirming he's quit the band?  I hadn't heard that before.

I'm not confirming anything.
I'm just asking what you are guessing. You have the info he's provided and according to it he's not listing GN'R in 2015 as a current project.

He had a countdown that ended in June 2014. Coincidence that it was the end of GN'R's Las Vegas run?

If that's normal, why isn't Dj and Richard constantly dropping these kind of hints about not being in the band?

It's just common sense. I'm not confirming anything because I don't know. Once there's plans for the band to regroup, will he be there? I don't know.

But I'm not the one "complaining" about having to guess. If I have to guess, I know what my guess is based on his actions.

I don't know if it's been mentioned here yet, but Ron's LinkedIn profile shows "Guns N' Roses - May 2006 - June 2014".

https://www.linkedin.com/in/bumblefoot

Credit to gnrtruth for finding that one.

It's kind of ironic, for all the criticism he's gotten for dropping these "hints" on social media.

It's what we are using to figure out if he's in the band, or not.

The comments aren't about him saying it, it's more about how and how long he's been doing it.

I really don't think he'd be able to return even if he wanted to at this point. He's made it incredibly awkward to say the least.

Agreed. Which is why I brought up Robin. He handled his departure with class and a few years later, he got back up on stage with the band. Same thing with Brain.

My guess is that Ron is out if the band. BUT there is a chance that he might come back before anything new happens. He just needs to do other things than GN'R maybe when lets say late 2015 comes and he is being asked to join a for a tour, for spring 2016, he might say yes.

Other than that, there is, Duff, Izzy and Robin. that might be interested. Or a new guy/gal.

If somebody says they played for a team between 2006-2014. Would you guess they're still part of that team in 2015? If you had to guess.

This is the common sense part. All the other possible future  scenarios, you don't need to worry about. You're just guessing as it's right now based on what you know.

Well, Tommy does what Duff does (bass)
And..Richard does what Izzy does (Rhythm)

And neither one if these guys are in question, right?

That leaves only Robin out of your guesses.  I'd love to see Duff come back but I'm not so sure about him (or Tommy) playing rhythm (if Richard were to move to lead) or lead and if they would even want to? Because that's what one of them would have to do if they were both on board.   If we're talking about Duff, I think it's more realistic he replaces Tommy all together.

Or that is what the contract thus far was agreed, for an extension, the previous terms need to be different, and at  the moment, a retainer is being paid and that has a NDA clause attached.... W(and or)Could explain the vagueness of his social media comments, but is picking the scab  to possibly engineer some kind of closure, one way or another... Cast his bait in trying to hook TB into making a decision. Doesn't look good, and I really want Ron to stay Sad

BUMBLEFOOT ADDRESSES GUNS N? ROSES DEPARTURE RUMORS

Ron ?Bumblefoot? Thal has reportedly been asked not to comment on his status with Guns N? Roses, something that has made promoting a new solo project more difficult.
?I can?t erase a decade of history and I can?t stop the media from asking what they want to ask and making up their own titles on their interviews and posts. No matter how much I ask them not to do it,? Thal reportedly wrote earlier this week (via Blabbermouth). ?I?ve been honoring a request to not make any public statements about anything related to it, which continues to put me in a very awkward position that I don?t want to be in. Not how I do things, repeatedly taking the bullet on this one.?
This isn?t a confirmation of a split with Axl Rose, but signs have been pointing to a potential parting of the ways. ?I?ve tried to do both,? Bumblefoot said back in December, ?and it?s been really difficult. There?s only so much time and you can?t be in two places at once.?
