Bring back Bucket! Just listened to TWAT and IRS.....absolutely huge solos...make a puppy pull a freight train.
Its very hard to listen to that album and not lament the fact it couldn't have worked out with him.
Some standout stuff there.
I don't know what really happend in the relationship.
I don't know if it's egos on both sides
But if guns management on Axl himself and asked bucket to play a few shows and be the centrepiece of thew show. Would bucket refuse?
I might be mistaken but I believe they tried to get him back right before the New York shows in May of 06 and he declined. Then they got BF
Kb that's right but regardless that was almost 10 years ago. Let's try again and mb they should make a huge effort to d so

yep...if you plan on releasing songs Bucket played on then it is a natural fit. But, obviously things are not that simple.

Can't ever see Bucket coming back.
He and Slash were different situations, but the principle is the same. Both left over aspects of the operation they didn't care for, but also have not changed.

Well what would it take to get both those guys back. (Not to make this a dead horse)
I really think slash would be the easiest to get back. I think all it would take is Axl picking up the phone and asking
I don't thnk a phone call could get back Bucket. But a phone all. A tour garAntee and mb def release date of on some previous recorded bucket material that axl is sitting on would be enough to get him.

If you're Bucket, would you believe it?
I wouldn't. Track record is what it is.

Nope I wouldn't believe it either.
But
If a good enough fool proof contract Or offer comes his way. He or I would have to say yes. Words or promises are one thing. If you put it all on paper and make those promises legal. Why would he now not want yo perform.
He just hates all the stuff he recorded?
He hates touring?
No the band was a joke while he was a member and he couldn't deal with it. If they could prove they are not any more I am sure he would be back.

According to Marc Canter, Axl wants some sort of public apology from Slash for certain mysterious things which do not seem immediately apparent to us, but, probably involve certain interviews made during the Snakepit era, and perhaps litigation. Until such an apology happens - which is highly unlikely as Slash does not feel he has done anything wrong - forget Slash.
Buckethead refuses to talk about his experiences in Guns, when interviewed. I therefore do not see him very forthcoming either.

Neither of those fellas are ever coming back. Any sort of talk about a future for GNR should not include either man.

What about Robin? If things don't work out with Dj, could you see Robin coming back?

Nope. They all leave for the same reason and that reason never changes.
If we are being brutally honest has there been any point where Bucket and Robin look back since they left and feel it was the wrong move? Is there ANY chance they regret it?

Well, Robin originally left in 1999 and came back the following year. If not regret on some level, what caused him to come back?

Yeah, he did return once already. That's true.
He even joined the band on stage in 2012....

There was still hope of an album.

There haven't been any 'bad blood' between anyone in GN'R and Robin after his departure as far as I've seen.
It could be a possibility in the future I guess. How many times has he re-joined NIN for instance? Robin seems like a free spirit who goes where the wind takes him.

Robin's move made very little sense to me, leaving when he did.
Like entering a marathon and quitting at the 25 mile point.
Who endures all that bullshit then skips the payoff?

Only makes sense if he thought the finish line would be pushed back once again.

This was always my suspicion.
So, in a way, I'm sure it was a kick in the ass to see a release only a year after he left.
But, and this gets back to what I said earlier, do you think he looks at thigns since the release and thinks he's missing out?

Well that all depends on when and what doesn't it?
If you're sitting at home with nothing to do, and the other band is touring and you'd love to be out on tour, then maybe.
If you're happy to spend time at home, maybe not.
There's no universal answer to a general scenario like yours.

Well, he's basically doing the same thing in NIN as he did in Guns - touring.
He was below the radar in 2010-2013 not doing much publicly.
Guns has been active every year since the release, I'm sure he would've wanted to be part of the GN'R tour. If Robin's mission in life was to record as many albums as possible, he sure picked the wrong two bands to join.
