Bumblefoot's wishy-washy, one week in, the next week out, passive aggressive and "jokey" comments with regard to his status as a member of Guns N' Roses have been ongoing for several years now and have been unfair to both the fans, the band, management and to any plans. How are Guns N' Roses supposed to do anything - plan a tour, for example - if the lead guitarist is giving mixed signals to the press and public about his status in the band?

It's unfair to fans of Guns N' Roses as his passive-aggressive, back n' forth again comments have left many in the lurch wondering just what the fuck he's going to do? His comments the last few years, and especially in the past few months, have helped to cast doubt and uncertainty in the minds of fans about the future of the band. As you can imagine, this is not good for GN'R's publicity, nor as previously stated, it doesn't help GN'R form any concrete plans.

Bumblefoot seems to enjoy the attention he gets with his wishy-washy nature BUT also enjoys being able to use the Guns N' Roses name to promote himself as the "lead guitarist of Guns N' Roses". This man, despite his outwardly fan friendly front, is a shady character who is taking little bites at the hand which has fed him for the past decade.

Either quit, stay in the band, or shut the fuck up. Don't leave the fans wondering and worried about the future of the band because you're too much of a coward to give anyone a straight answer.

Great synopsis, I agree 100%

You do remember the time Stinson admitted that he disliked Guns's music when he was in The Replacements, before he joined new gnr?

That was a weird thing to say.  Just odd to say that publically, even if you think it.

But, while I can believe he was hardly digging on AFD back in the day, he does seemed to have jumped into this with both feet.  Seems to be having fun up on stage, and brings good energy every night.

Ya you can't fake that smile he has on stage.  Well he may be loaded half the time, but still it's a great smile and u can tell he is having fun most nights

What if Ron works it out with guns.  Or guns is so desperate for a touring guitar player, they give Ron what ever he wants

Man that would make some very awkward meet n greats with him.   Hahaha.

Not awkward for me at all, I have lost any respect I might have had for him due to things he has said both on the record and off.

Won't be supporting him in any way, shape, or form.

And you would hardly be alone, I suspect.

It would make trying to move on with him very hard, I think.

He is acting the exact same way Slash did when he left. Bashing the band and talking very passive-aggressively in interviews...While claiming he's still in the band. Yet subtly slamming the band/Axl/Axl's work habits at any chance and acting like being in GN'R is akin to having cancer or something.

Apples to oranges when you compare Slash's and Bumblefoot's gripes. Slash was an original member who had ownership. Bumblefoot was an employee. Big difference.

The worst part is he not making an official announcement to his fans ...

That is probably not his announcement to make.  The news will hopefully come from Guns N' Roses management team.

Yeah, some kind of announcement would be nice from the GNR camp.. Also it'll be interesting to see who's going to replace BBF if he really is out now, or if he will be replaced at all. Tongue

BBF was always great at the Meet and greets, very friendly, always open to the fans. I don't like the public complaining about the band, I always prefer to keep any problems or issues internal.

Its very hard to listen to that album and not lament the fact it couldn't have worked out with him.

Some standout stuff there.

I don't know what really happend in the relationship.

I don't know if it's egos on both sides

But if guns management on Axl himself and asked bucket to play a few shows and be the centrepiece of thew show.  Would bucket refuse?

Ok I just listened to the whole interview.  It's pretty clear what he said was in jest...but there's probably an element of truth and he's playing it off as just goofing around.

What I don't get is:  where is the follow up question from the interviewer?  The guy clearly did his homework on BBF...so why not ask The. Most. Obvious. Question.  Ever.  It's almost like Bumble (or his people if he has any) specifically asked that no serious Guns questions be asked.  Otherwise, it makes no god damn sense why he doesn't ask him directly, "so are you in or out?"

Also, it sounded like they were getting into some GnR stuff when the video ended.  Is there a part 2 to the video?  Would be interested in hearing what else he had to say.

Yes, that was just part 1, it says more to come in the next few days.

I might be mistaken but I believe they tried to get him back right before the New York shows in May of 06 and he declined. Then they got BF
