Album will be ready when it is ready, I like the wait and anticipation.
Said, woman, take it slow
And things will be just fine
You and I'll just use a little patience

Straight from the horse's mouth, Del said it right there ^ "There is no official release date,
as the band is currently mixing
"
Exactly. There's no evidence to back up the notion that the album was delayed because of the additional recording that was done in January 2007.
/jarmo
So you think the record would have come out as is if the record company cooperated to Axl's liking?
Also.. I guess Axl could have chosen to release the originals rather than the ones with Ron and Frank if he liked those versions better.
Its a big bonus for an atrist to have a writting wriiting credit on a multi million selling album
Sure that was taking into consideration when a new artist came into the band
Sure hope thats not the only reason certain parts were over dubbed. Hey we got to get this guy paid and get him some credits on the album. What can we take out?! Its a possibility

Scott Weiland Claims He Did Art of Anarchy Because He Got Paid
Rock MusicAlternativeGrungeHard RockTop Stories
by Brett Buchanan - Feb 10, 2015
Possible Art of Anarchy frontman Scott Weiland told The Daily Beast that he had never heard of the band before joining, and that he got paid to record with them.
?It was a project I did where I was just supposed to have written the lyrics and melodies for this band that I?d never heard of, and I was paid to do it,? he explained, frustration clear in his voice. ?And so I did it, and did some production work on it, and the next thing I knew there were press releases that I was in the band. I mean, I did one photo shoot with them, ?cause it was part of the deal, but I?m not in the band.?
Weiland added, ?I wish them all the best once they find a singer, I hope they do well, but this is my band.?

Well the word "anarchy" sure fits this 'mega-super band'...

"Posible"? I think it should say imposible. I wonder what other things this guy would do if he gets paid to do them

Asked by John Parks of Legendary Rock Interviews if he has gained some perspective as far as how radically different it is for a band like GUNS N' ROSES to put out an album as opposed to an artist like him releasing a new solo CD, Ron said: "Yes, and it's two totally, totally different scenarios, absolutely. I don't even know how to begin to compare the two. For one thing, in my own situation, in 'Bumblefoot' world, I have all the keys to the whole project. I know I have to write an album, record it and release it. In the GN'R world, Axl [Rose, GN'R lead singer] holds the key, and [laughs] when he decides to do something is when he decides to do it, and it's definitely at a different pace than say when I do things."
He continued: "Axl and I are two different people with two different lives and two totally different sets of hurdles to jump over, which totally affects our ability to release what we create.
"It's very hard to bust out anything when life becomes more complicated or you have more people trying to pull you in a million different directions or distract you. The bigger a band gets, the more that happens; so at Axl's level, it's definitely not easy and there's a million fires to put out where at my level there is maybe ten fires or even two fires. [laughs]"

I wish Axl shared this belief,
Quote
For me, if I am not being creative or putting out music, it is like having a bag over my head and I am suffocating. I need to do it. It is the only reason I feel I should be on Earth and, when I am sharing music with people, I truly feel alive.

Interesting you say that.
If someone were to then say if we are in agreement that his lack of that attitude means you could stop taking him seriously as a viable artist, would you be cool with that?

In this sense, doing new things.
In other words, not just touring based on a 25 year old album. With trickery, or without.

I guess it's a subjective thing. I feel Axl's done enough in his career so that I wouldn't call into question his credentials as an artist, regardless of whatever else happens. Is he a BBF or Buckethead type of guy at this point in his life? Maybe not. But not every musician is. I think he's still got music in him, and I can wait.
Sorry for hijacking the question; I know it wasn't directed at me.

It is very rare for an artist to come up with there best work later in there career. It does happen but it is very rare
Your voice goes, you have wrote about every subject or even that meant somethig to you. Some artists don't do drugs or have cleaned up there acts. Some peoples best work have come wihile they have been under the influence. Regardless some peoles best work happens right away
Same isn't true for musicians though. Most muscians become better at there trade the older they get

No worries. We're all just talking.
I certainly would not question his past history as a viable artist. We all have those albums.
I guess what I'm asking is this.
If you are going to puff out your chest and say
"well, Axl doesn't think like that, so move on"
...I would think you then have no problem if someone told you that they no longer consider him a viable artist. Not that it changes what he's done. But its now fair to say those days are over, and its nostalgia tours from now on.
Now, I would think you could say that, if we are in agreement that's not how thinks. But I also think you'd get HUGE pushback on it too.
Which, at that point, I would question the earlier bravado of your taunt.

The problem is when people try to puff this band up into something they're not.

This, I agree with.
At other boards people ask me why I still follow them or still care.
And my answer is always the same. First and foremost...is this really taking up a lot of time and effort? Not really.
But I am under no delusions here. This, as you say, is what it is. Its what left of my favorite band of alltime, and whatever else I can get, is gravy.
Its not like I have some high hopes here.

Ron is interviewed in Thailand. He jokes about not having to play with them anymore (GN'R) and no more of this song (SCOM). That the "reign of doom" is over....in the first part of the interview....

Ok even if he isn't out of the band yet.....
Why would guns, the band members and Axl want this guy in the in band. He has no respect for the band or the music. Thinks it's all a joke.
