I think he knew pretty full well that the next Guns release was going essentially be the second half of Chinese Democracy.  He's even made several kind of disparaging comments about it over the last few years.  My favorite was what I believe was a Facebook post basically stating "If a new GNR album comes out soon, it's gonna be with guys that haven't been in the band for 5 years..." I forget what the exact wording was, but it came off extremely pouty.

Yeah, it was something that.

It started a much earlier version, maybe the first version, of "Looks Like Ron's Out".

Just something I noticed... Bumblefoot has un-followed both Axl and GNR on twitter.
Rons beard is still following Gn'R.

Not convinced Ron operates that account, twitter is full of fakes such as "Dijon90265" some people think they are amusing.

Do you think she has been particulary good with the fans?  Can you give us any examples?  As you so often remind us, you are there and we are not.

Yes.

Well you personally got some web streams of shows thanks to this management.

The other things they do for fans doesn't get Tweeted, Instagrammed or posted online.

It's a fact, but we can't know about it and no one wants to talk (specifics) about it.  Got it.

Yeah, it was something that.

It started a much earlier version, maybe the first version, of "Looks Like Ron's Out".

I think his hope was that Axl would be so moved by their live chemistry, that he would ultimately scrap the second Chinese album, and get the current lineup in the studio together eventually to hammer out a wholly new GNR album.

And, although it seemingly takes moving heaven and earth to get Axl in the headspace to release music, I think it's obvious that he never intended on scrapping anything. Once this became real, as in obvious that Chinese 2 was finally materializing, it probably made Ron's decision to leave that much easier.  This was probably DJ's initial sentiments regarding the next album as well, though he seems somewhat more moldable to Axl's will.

Yeah , that does all make sense.

Any new guitar player would hopefully understand the business plan here... and would have to be ok with it going in.

Yeah, when you consider that the initial plan, as recent as 2007-08, was to release a 'trilogy' of albums with the material recorded during the Chinese Democracy sessions, with only 1 album down, how this would shock anyone is beyond me.  It seems the 'trilogy' plans have been whittled down to two albums, but hey, I'll take it!  yes

My only beef is that it's taken so long to get to the followup album.  And, ultimately, I can see how an artist would get antsy to create over an 8 year period. But, I digress, the music was done and was never *not* going to come out eventually.

I think so too.  And if not scrap it, at least go half and half.

I'm sure it makes as little sense to him as it does to many of us that Axl just seemsto have zero desire to creat anything with the current guys he shares the stage with.

I've often theorized that Ron would hear DJ go on about all this stuff he hoped would happen and just sort of shake his head and grin and think to himself, "he'll learn.

Yeah, I?m sure (as sure as one can be with no real proof other than common sense) when BBF joined, he wasn?t told ?under no circumstances will you be able to create new music, and we?re only going to release CDII songs, if anything.?  It was probably more like, ?if you bring something good to the table, Axl will consider it.?  He probably thought that he would be able to bring something good to the table?over time, he likely saw that this wasn?t in the cards, and that his music (or any new music from the current lineup) was not going to be seriously considered.  Why it took him several years to realize that is beyond me.

You?re right, DJ probably thinks he?s got a shot at creating new music, and maybe he?s more comfortable if that never happens.

I think its one of those things that once you stay a certain amount of time, you can't convince yourself to leave because you've already put time in.

And you would kick yourself if by some act of god that they got it all moving once you left.

DJ is not only into music. The guy has his line of clothing, his drawins and other art projects. So if he has to play someone elses music he is better off. He can dedicate time and energy to other things.

Ron is only about music. He has his solo ?lbum, this new band with(out) Scott. And in GN?R he was a helping hand. It was usefull as a learning experience about the business. But when saw there was no starring role for him in anyway. He left

It's a fact, but we can't know about it and no one wants to talk (specifics) about it.  Got it.

So you don't actually believe somebody who's been there and seen things? You'd rather believe the old "they hate the fans" bullshit posted by people who never met them?

Ask the hardcore fans who went to the shows what they think of management. Ask the fans outside the hotels hoping to meet Axl.

We don't believe someone that has a vested interest in pushing that narrative, yet can't produce any proof of it.  No, we do not.

Not convinced Ron operates that account, twitter is full of fakes such as "Dijon90265" some people think they are amusing.

Ron's account has the blue checkmark, doesn't that mean Twitter has verified that it is him and not a fake account?  Note: I'm no Twitter genius but that was my basic understanding.

Was talking specifically about the "beard" account.

Yeah, I assume the beard account is a goof account.  Twitter is loaded with them.

The first year they put a roof on Centre Court at Wimbledon, someone started a Twitter account for the roof.

Who is "we"? You speak for others, or you have a mouse in your pocket.

You conveniently skipped over and ignored this part-

"Ask the hardcore fans who went to the shows what they think of management. Ask the fans outside the hotels hoping to meet Axl."

Why don't you go inquire from 2 of the moderators at another site how they were treated by TB Wink

I gave you examples of people you should go ask. If I start telling you what I've seen, you'll just reply with the above. Again.
Now it's up to you to do the rest. I pointed you in the direction where you'll find some answers.
