Sad how every topic is Dead Horse material these days.
/jarmo
I am trying to keep theae topics on track, but sometimes they just go off in another dirrection. Which shouldnt be a problem if it doesnt get to carried away
When Ron/gnr come out with more clarification on the Ron situation I will be back talking about that
Only so many times I can post my thoughts that he is gone. Or read posts about how we will know his status when gnr anounce a tour. Ugh.

God willing, you'll one day wake up and realize your online image and craving for attention isn't really that important.

Yeah, I get it. Certain people do think we really are interested in talking about the 2002 tour. Again. I think we did that, in 2002? Or 2003? Or 2005?
I don't think you'll get more clarification. I mean, he made it clear. He's doing his thing.

If there is a current news topic we are neglecting, by all means, introduce it and we shall talk it out.
You have my word.
Don?t we have the hotel maid interview? How come you haven?t posted yet?

Tell us what we should be talking about, Jarmo.
You are a virtual encyclopedia of topics and conversations you DON'T like.
Why not change it up? Take on some leadership and push things where you'd like to go. Step up.
Isn't that better than just sitting there with your arms folded telling us how unhappy you are with all these discussions?

Hahahaha. I think it got posted mid thread somewhere.
But we tend to not really do levity around here. It was a joke piece, but its likely offensive in like, 9 different ways, I reckon.

I would love to talk about the upcomong 2015 tour. Or show... I cant wait to talk about the experience of seeing them live
And also cant wait to talk about the new guitar player the band will get
Would just be nice to get some clarity from the band regarding this situation now.

Your posts would have some validity if you were actually right. Unfortunately for you, you're not.
For example, in the new album thread I brought up discussions about digital vs physical release, I brought up the possibility of remix album and so on.
I've offered you plenty of chances to engage in constructive discussions over the months you've posted here. Acting like I haven't just to prove some kind of imaginary point is just ridiculous.
Think before trying to attack me again.

Things pick up when they are on tour. In terms of video clips and the like.
I wasn't actually here yet when the album came out, but I have to imagine when it does, we aren't going to be talking about anything but.

It's not an attack at all.
You tell me time and again that you are annoyed/unhappy/disapproving of how I think/act/post...yet its the rare post of mine you let pass without comment. Is there some contractual obligation that you can't let any of my stuff pass?
You tell all of us time and again you are unhappy with the subjects of discussion...yet its the rare occurence you start some new thread or try and push things into your more preferred direction.
What sense does any of that make? To the untrained eye, it comes across like you are setting up scenarios to rail against, and never proactively trying to avoid them.
And on personal note, I'm tired of having these same damn conversations. We are dragging the board down with this tired crap every god damn day.

You did. And I was in that conversation before it ran its course.
Somehow, I did it without talking about cancelled shows or setlists.
Maybe some more of that from you is the recipe for your blues.

I actually always liked the braids because it made him look younger. This longer hair and weight gain has really aged him. Not that I really care that much about how someone looks....as it's about the music, but I didn't mind the braids at all. And if any white rock star would do it, didn't surprise me one bit that it was Axl. I will always love that he pretty much does what he wants, even if it's completely out there.
2002 had a bit of "try hard", in my opinion. I found the jerseys, botox, and braids him trying to be hip. And not having it really land.
But come 2006, I thought pulled back braids looked good. And he was in tremendous physical shape and voice. That's what's important to me.
The weight gain? To me, its like more of the same. So long as he sounds good, who cares?
But he doesn't sound good. 2009-10 wasn't quite as good as 2006-07, but it was still pretty good. He was also in much of the same shape.
Come 2011 to present, he's not in as good shape. And his vocals a lot of nights were a disaster. Is there a connection? Dunno, I'm not a doctor. But I do know when he was in better physical shape, he sounded better. So, if pressed to take a stand, I would say he would do well to hit the gym and get into some better shape in the hopes of restoring his vocal performances to what they once were.
Yes, the pulled back braids was what I was referring to actually, and his style in 2006. I'm not sure if being in better "physical" shape means better vocals, because I personally think the Rose Bar sessions was the best he's ever sounded, and he wasn't in the best "physical" shape. So I would assume it's all about being in the best "singing" shape, not "physical" shape. There are plenty of singers out there not in the best "physical" shape who have great voices.

I agree in part.
For example. Take a singer loke meatloaf. Damn he was a big mess. Not a fan of his music. But the dude had lungs. He could really sing. Great range
A singers voice is like a piano/guitar. Has to be tuned and treated well
I remember Axl gave Baz credit for helping him with voice trg lessons that helped prolong his singing life. Sure he knows whats he is doing
As for physical shape.... I agree it probably doesnt affect the voice.
But
It affects how someone can run around. Dance. Perform on stage. You cant argue that. Again though i give axl credit. He is not 21 years old any more riding around on his bmx. He is older now and weight gets out on easier. Trust me

SCOTT WEILAND: I Was Never A Member Of ART OF ANARCHY
Scott Weiland says that he was never a member of ART OF ANARCHY despite the fact that he recorded a debut album with the supergroup, and says that his main focus is his solo band THE WILDABOUTS.
"I was never in [ART OF ANARCHY]," the former STONE TEMPLE PILOTS and VELVET REVOLVER singer told Billboard.com. "It was something I did when I wasn't doing anything. I was asked to write some lyrics and sing some melodies on this project, but it's not a band I'm in. This is my band," he added, nodding to SCOTT WEILAND AND THE WILDABOUTS.
In addition to Weiland, the recording lineup for ART OF ANARCHY's first CD included GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal and DISTURBED bassist John Moyer. The rest of the lineup is filled out by Jon Votta on guitar and Vince Votta on drums. The group's debut disc will arrive this spring.
In an exclusive statement to Rolling Stone, Thal wrote that "ART OF ANARCHY is not competition or a threat or interference to what any of us are doing ? it's a complement, an addition, one I'm proud of creatively."
He continued: "[There is] no need to minimize or undermine or devalue a project we all worked on together over the course of two years.
"I enjoyed working with Scott. And I'm looking forward to [the SCOTT WEILAND AND] THE WILDABOUTS album release, the Bumblefoot album release, and the ART OF ANARCHY album release. The more music the better, it's what we do, right?
Artists do collaborations and a month later, their own album comes out. This is normal stuff. All good.
"
Thal added: "The five of us made an album together. Scott is currently the singer of the band. It's in writing; no confusion. But yes, Scott's solo album and tour are his priority and we're all on the same page about getting another vocalist if ART OF ANARCHY hits the road. But we don't need to cross that bridge just yet. Taking everything as it comes, one step at a time, letting it evolve organically. Where it goes from here (and with who!) is yet to be seen."
ART OF ANARCHY is the brainchild of Thal and the Votta brothers, who have been friends for 18 years dating back to their days on the New York music scene.
Thal also serves as producer and engineer on the album.
Weiland is no stranger to supergroups, having formed VELVET REVOLVER with several former members of GUNS N' ROSES more than a decade ago.
He was dismissed from that band in 2008, rejoining STP until they also fired him in early 2013. He and THE WILDABOUTS will put out a new album in March.
Thal has been with GUNS N' ROSES since 2006, playing on the 2008 album "Chinese Democracy". He has also released a number of solo CDs.
Moyer has been DISTURBED's bassist since 2004. The band has been on an extended hiatus since late 2011.

It's nice Ron made mention of how excited he is for all of there albums coming out this year, including his solo album, but doesn't say anything about guns n roses. He has no problem promoting himself as a member with huge album sales meanwhile giving guns the cold shoulder. It's gross
