I don't see how it's any different from this:

Love the irony of how Ron will continue with Art of Anarchy with another singer when they decide to tour if Scott is not available, while GN'R will continue without Ron when they decide to tour if he is not available.

And yeah, if the album is a big hit, let's see how available Scott becomes.

The album, which, judging by his statement, he won't promote?

It sounds like he has a contract so he'll probably promote the album.

Even if they don't tour right away, there are band that have done well even when they don't tour.  SIXX:A.M. comes to mind.

To me it sounds like he fulfilled his contract. The record and videos.

I think those other comments were just made to make the association with Scott "stick". He wants to distance himself, but the rest of the band needs him to be associated with them. Otherwise most of the appeal of the band is gone.

SIXX: A.M. isn't a new band. And their singer didn't put out an update wishing the rest of the band good luck hours after the formation of the band was announced.  Wink

It was once.

Let's see how the album does, how the videos look.  If it's a hit, there may be a lot more from this band going forward.

There seems to be an effort to run down Ron's new project.

if the music is good... this could have been very successful if it has Scott's backing...

He's a big star... and combine that with the buzz of playing with another GNR connected person ha... it would get some press... again..if the music is there.

Yup.  It kinda sounded like Ron was a bit annoyed that Scott tried to distance himself from the project so quickly.  Pretty fuckin' funny if you ask me, someone who couldn't give a shit about this band.  hihi

A "Super Group" is defined as a band made up of successful musicians from another band. How many albums did the members of Cream sell before Cream was a band? Who cares? Regardless of how many albums were sold prior to the group getting together it's still SUCCESSFUL individuals joining a band!

Scott is the VR guy right? So let me get this straight... GNR guitarist decides that he needs to focus on not GNR and does a project with the X lead singer of VR. Then the VR guy decides to leave (just like he did with VR only much sooner)? This is so weird how history kind of repeated itself. But then again, I don't know much about this situation or the VR situation so please correct me if I'm wrong. I could be way off base here.

yes Scott Weiland was the singer for VR...

he didnt really leave VR... well I guess he did... it ran its course

this situation really has nothing to do with that band tho ... just a coincidence really with the GNR parts

You mean by their current former lead singer?

hihi And Ron seems very keen to it. And Ron thought life with Axl was difficult.  Good luck with this one bud!

^^ Honestly I'm not sure if I understand the situation but if things are happening the way they seem to me to be happening then I can't help but chuckle a little over it.

I love that the only recognizable character in this megagroup basically launched out a very public "Fuuuuck that!" the day after the group was announced.  What a disaster.

Jarmo, whats your angle on this one?  Is it that Scott is a douche for distancing himself, or is it that Ron is a tool for using GN'R #s to promote a supergroup with somone that wants nothing to do with them?  Or maybe both  hihi

I would say both, for sure.  Ron threatens GNR, telling him this year is for his solo career and any GNR happenings that go on he can't be a part of, only to form some "mega group" with a man who publicly slandered Axl on multiple occasions, and uses his time in GNR to promote said group.  Way to go Ron!  Roll Eyes

I agree with your about BBF. And that really pisses me off this BBF attitude. I do not support most of the things that Axl has been doing for the last 10 years or so. But I got his back if some idiot is trying to put him in a corner with threats. BBF wants to see Axl begging him to stay.I?m sure he has other demands in as well. BBF is making a big mistake messing with Axl.

No, I meant by you.  Look at all you've posted since the announcement was made.
