According to you, the band that isn't GN'R haven't accomplished anything in the past five years.
The real super fan is showing his true colors. No wonder you're here, it's more fun when you get attention than being yet another person in a crowd.

Well I think we all know he is a fan. Mb not as hard core as me. Mb not as hard core as you. But a fan
Wifi just started working for me here in Mexico. Lol so look out.
New music would be great. Tour with new music would be great.

That's what the fans have been saying for so many years now but I don't want to start this topic all over again
Cut and paste your last sentence in a few years & see if fans are still saying that.

That would be a risky tactic. Look what happened in 1996.....

Right, but I think what he's asking for should count for more than how he's asking for it (especially if he's already tried to negotiate more directly). For example, if it's a matter of just wanting more advance notice of tour schedules to better plan how to coordinate his Guns and solo work, that wouldn't be so unreasonable. IMO, neither would having his compensation adjusted to reflect the bulk of the guitar duties he handles on stage.
But it could be a lot more than that, so I really don't know...

All that proves is that promoters are still trading off of Ron's association with GnR. Everything that Ron has said lately (although not entirely clear) indicates he's out. And there hasn't been anything from the GnR camp. Those are the only two sources to trust, IMO.

Ya know, if the next album really is going to mostly consist of Chinese D era tracks, how amazing would it be if Axl got Buckethead back to tour in support of it?
Kinda makes me wish Axl didn't assassinate Bucket's character in the press release announcing his departure from Guns. Del James stated that they also tried getting him back prior to the '06 tour to no avail. Wonder if feelings of resentment still linger there.

Should be interesting no matter who in in the touring lineup. I would sign for the return of the KFC mask.

I suspect he's done with it and moved on.
Face it, has there been any point since he left he can look at how its all gone and have any serious regrets that he's missing out on something? What, exactly, would that be?

However unlikely, if Bucket did come back, I suspect it would simply be something he thinks might be a fun thing to do again, that is, touring with Guns. Perhaps he wants to play the songs he had a big hand in shaping live, and Ron's departure and the release of the second Chinese era album may make that an "easier" decision. Again, I know I'm grasping, but I can dream.
I wonder if Axl is even capable of making that call to Bucket at this point.

Yeah, I don't know.
Not because I wouldn't love to see it, but...I don't think Bucket's done a show since late 2012. ANY show.

You know what's better than releasing 100+ albums in 3 years?
Selling them.
Yeah, I'm being a bit sarcastic, here...but..I don't think there's any denying that BEING in GnR might positively impact him, in specific commercial ways.
Now, you can argue the flip side (and I actually might, in this case) that commercial success isn't really what Bucket is about, or is searching for. Fair enough. And, in that respect, he probably DOESN'T regret his decision, or "miss" what he might be missing out on.

Not touring..but he's literally releasing albums every other week.
But I think there are reasons why he hasn't done a show in a bit over 2 years...and I don't think GnR, as an opportunity, would enable him to put them aside (or overcome them).

Yeah, I know he was suffering from some health issues a few years back, but wasn't sure what the details were.
But, if he is healthy, and of course willing, I would think it would be a no-brainer to get him back into the lineup. Of course, they may have tried this already in previous years. Here's a direct quote from Del James on the matter in 2006....
"Prior to the European tour, auditions were held in Los Angeles but the band did not find the right guy to replace Buckethead. Truth be told, the band was hoping that Buckethead would come back and made every effort to make that happen. When it was apparent that Bucket would not be re-joining, the band had to move forward."
Of course, that was nearly 8 years ago (can't believe that). Things may have changed for the better behind the scenes.

I'm not sure he could, or would have any interest in, dealing with the grind of a tour (esp a GnR tour) at this point.
I actually think they'd have a better shot at getting him back into the studio, to play around, than they would getting him out on the road.
Having said that....Bucket seems happiest when he's most prolific....for him, I think making, and releasing, music is almost akin to therapy (both physical and emotional). In essence, it's good for his soul.
I don't think he could produce, at his current rate, AND be involved in GnR. And I don't think GnR could produce at the pace that would make him happy, RIGHT NOW (a couple albums a month, minimum).....and yes, that might be the understatement of the year.
I know this is a pie in the sky kinda discussion...I just want to make sure we know the pie that got thrown up there isn't likely to land any time soon.

Just posted by Bumblefoot - Link:
www.ueginc.com/portfolio/art-of-anarchy/
Poised to become one of the biggest new bands of 2015, Art of Anarchy is redefining the rock supergroup. Meet the ?mega group? ? band members are rock legends in their own right with over 150 million in sales. Promising over-the-top songs that break rock music boundaries with an all-or-nothing attitude, star power and bring-down-the-house performances, this mega band promises to transform a new generation into rock enthusiasts and die-hard ?Anarchists?.
Art Of Anarchy members are some of rock?s heaviest hitters and most versatile musicians. Iconic front man, Scott Weiland with his instantly identifiable voice needs no introduction. He is known as one of rock?s most adroit and ever-evolving vocalists. Lead guitarist Ron ?Bumblefoot? Thal from Guns N? Roses, bassist John Moyer of Disturbed and twin brothers Jon Votta on lead guitar and Vince Votta on drums promise extreme, uncompromising musicianship that rings in a new era for rock music.
The band started out of an 18-year friendship between Bumblefoot and the Votta brothers, dating back to the local New York music scene. Jon Votta approached Bumblefoot with the idea of putting together a unique new rock band that would have people talking. They knew Weiland would be the ideal singer to handle the band?s musical diversity. Once Weiland was on-board, the band was completed by the aggressive, precise, melodic bass of career-rocker John Moyer.
Art of Anarchy has emerged as a band willing to eradicate musical borders in pursuit of something brilliant. For these legendary members, it?s all about songwriting and musicianship, which the band proudly displays on its self-titled debut album. The band also sees Weiland returning to his hard rock roots with a harder-edged sound than any of his previous efforts.
Bumblefoot shines not only as the band?s co-guitarist, but also as the producer and engineer on the album. His world-class guitar playing ranks him as one of rock?s most innovative guitarists.
John Moyer, self-proclaimed hitman from Texas, brings a punchy bottom end that rounds out the sound of AOA. His in the pocket style can be heard throughout the whole album.
Jon Votta, the grand architect behind Art of Anarchy, co-wrote the soon-to-be-released album and shares lead responsibilities with Bumblefoot. According to Votta, ?This is the record I always dreamed of making since I started playing guitar?. Vince Votta came up with the band name based upon these principles: it had to be extreme, uncompromising, and make a bold statement- much like his drum playing.
2015 will be a big year for Art of Anarchy. Rock was never dead? just dormant? and Art of Anarchy is planning to wake it up. They?ll break all the rules and leave you wanting more Anarchy!

Oh, yeah don't get me wrong, you're likely 100% correct on all points. I'm really just thinking out loud. Ron was brought in because he was a shredder/guitar wizard ala Bucket. And if he's out, who do you call?
My only point here is that if Axl called up Bucket to see if he was down to tour, say, sometime in the 2nd half of 2015 in support of an album he's present on, that it would would be amazing if he shockingly agreed. Again, pie in the sky and all that.
