BBF is determined to choose any pre booked solo plans over any future new GN'R activity if it clashes in the near future. This is his new thing.
He's been frustrated for some time that he makes plans for his solo tour only to have Guns N' Roses schedule a tour "the day before" and he has to cancel his tour. Hopefully he was able to work something out with management. Or maybe he is out.
BUMBLEFOOT: If I Have To Choose Between GUNS N' ROSES And The Rest Of My Life, I'm Out
"Also, the rest of humanity tends to plan things in advance where GUNS N' ROSES tends to plan things the day before. So it's really tough. We could be planning something [for my solo project] for next April, and then GUNS will book something March 31 for April, and all your plans are just? Suddenly you're in this situation where you have to choose. And I'm actually trying to work out something with [the GUNS N' ROSES] management now so I don't have to choose. Because if I do have to choose ? and I'm saying it here first ? I'm choosing my own life; I have to. If I'm gonna be painted into a corner where I have to choose between being in GUNS N' ROSES and the entire rest of my life, and if they're not willing to help me keep the two functioning well together, then I'm out. So hopefully they're willing to do that. And I've reached out a few days ago and I'm just waiting to hear back.
http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/bumblefoot-if-i-have-to-choose-between-guns-n-roses-and-the-rest-of-my-life-im-out/
That interview was over a year ago...November 30 2013.
I know. Like I said, he's been frustrated for some time.
BBF has invested alot of himself in GN'R, so I do not think he would ever leave GN'R.
I would guess that BBF's priorities have changed. He is happy to do GN'R, but he now expects the band to respect his own work and career, which I am sure they will do.
The fact that he's pulled Guns N' Roses' references from all social media, and the comments he's made in interviews seem to indicate either they haven't come to an agreement, or they have and he's out.
But it looks like we will have to wait to see...32 pages later.

I think there has been a couple of occasions online where BBF has said things before thinking about what he has said, if you get what I mean. He appears to be a heart on sleeve type fellow.
When a tour happens again, we will find out everyone's intentions.

I am sure he is
I worked in the city of London for many years, I ended up hated one job I did. My opinions at any given time were negative, but I never left. Ultimately, I moved on for health reasons, but I am just saying that what people say, and what people do, can be very different beasts.
My biggest issue with the internet since it began is that you cannot see, hear and feel the person who is posting a post or sending you an email. You lose that human touch, and ultimately, how people perceive others becomes slightly distorted. Even humour is a no no on the internet. You see people now getting fined from their sports association, sacked from their work, or even arrested by the police. Face to face, it is mostly not an issue, but the internet is making us all black and white.

What I find funny/ironic/strange about him pulling all GNR references on all his social media accounts, is that when he's directly asked on those same social media sites about his status in GNR by the fans he himself has said he would be straight up with, he ignores the question. And it's not like he was only asked once or twice by one or two fans that he might have just missed. He's been asked hundreds of times by hundreds of fans. Literally he's been asked every day since he posted on his social media accounts that "countdown" while still on tour with GNR. (There's even video of fans directly asking him during a Q&A on his solo tour.)

Ronnie craves attention, perhaps a way to draw more bodies to his solo gigs. Intentional or not, he is painting himself as a Drama Queen...

Anyone going to see him with Guns 2 Roses at The Underworld London, Friday 6th March??
I presume he's doing his own set then will join Gavin & the boys for the Guns set.
If he is out of GN'R it seems a bit weird to promote himself this way...But really looking forward to it.

It's quite comical how Ron has gone from fav favorite / so gracious to the fans to an ungrateful drama queen basically over night ... I wonder why...

I've met Ron a bunch of times and always found him to be a wonderful guy. Nonetheless, his indecision and lack of confirmation with regard to his status with Guns' has grown incredibly tedious. He really should make a decision not just for himself but so the fans can move on and Guns' can find a new guitarist sooner than later if needed.

Wow, that is bizarre.
Who leaves an actual band and goes and plays in a tribute version of that band? It's like 'Rock Star', but in reverse.

I don't blame Ron for not formally announcing anything if hes definitely gone.... I would think that's the bands responsibility to the fans more than his. But, I also see and know why they are in no rush to announce it either. Just sucks that we don't have an answer.
I hope they don't add a new player. I'd be happy going back to two guitars... and the band probably would be too. Back in 06 the band was not happy at all about Ron's arrival, it was clearly an Axl only decision.
So I think the band minus Axl would prefer to not add a new person.

Who plays Buckethead's parts then? Pretty sure Richard said he can play most but not all of his parts, and DJ has said he can't even play Riad', so I doubt he would be able to handle Buckethead's parts.

I know the belief is that Ron is a technically advanced player over those 2... so i don't know

DJ cant play Riad?
thats why they dont play it anymore then.
Where did he say that, was it a joke? cause the solo would be 100% bumblefoot territory. Im sure he could play the song, maybe he hasent just practiced it.
