His Twitter account doesn't say Guns N' Roses anymore either....just solo artist and producer.

crying crying  Why don't they make an announcement one way or another instead of all this guessing and rumours? It happens with any job when there's going to be changes made - everyone speculates & usually it ends up being right. Tell us if he's in, out, considering whether to continue, he's going to get sooo many questions from fans until something is announced. I will be sad though, he's very approachable & caring & his personality will be sorely missed in the band.  crying crying

It is absurd, I know. This band operates like Area 51.
Solo album from a Guns N' Roses member will sell better than Album by a ex Guns N' Roses member.

Sad Ron has left, he didn't seem happy being in GNR.  Have to give him credit for getting the band to improve getting their ass on stage on time.  He seemed to be a voice for the fans concerns.  There goes our champion.

Do you really believe in this?
I'm guessing you think that since he aired his grievances in public, anything that happened after must be because of that. Not necessarily the truth though.

Has the band ever announced a band member leaving the band apart from Izzy, Bucket and Slash.

Who broke the news about Steven, Gilby, Duff, Matt, Josh and Robin in 99.

With Bryan and Robin they kinda didnt say anything . Same with Paul Tobias i think..

Agreed... Axl goes on stage when he is good and  ready... nothing to do with Ron talking about it

I will always be a fan of Axl. It's just a shame as to what the Guns N' Roses name has become.

The band makes announcements when they have something to say.  hihi

Making announcements on somebody possibly leaving to focus on their solo career at a point when that won't affect GN'R, since no shows have been announced, makes little sense.
Robin was touring with NIN in 2008, but GN'R didn't announce his replacement Dj until March 2009....

What about trying to generate some goodwill with the fans?
The lack of communication is annoying, especially when we are on day 254 of "we're going to start looking very seriously at what we're doing in that regard."

Nice theory... But unless you have some good news to report, what do you think the result of that kind of update would be?

True, and i understand why the silence now. if this wont affect current plans, theres is no need to announce anything. And for all i know, when the next show comes he might be back...

I was just wondering if this was the case also in the 90s, im born in 95 so i dont remember and i didnt find much info on who announced first.

I think the band was a bit more open in the 90s. You knew that Adler and Izzy were out of the band.  You knew that UYI was going to be released. It was just better communication with the fans back then than now. I really liked Bumblefoot in this lineup along with the fact that he's from NJ. May have to get his solo stuff.

Does that mean that Izzy, Slash and Buckethead were more important for GN'R than Duff, Josh, Brain , Robin or Ron?

Where do you get that impression?

Airing his grievances in public is what makes me think he wasn't happy.

If not for Ron's complaints, who do we have to thank for the improvement on stage time?

Josh wasn't exactly in the public eye as a GN'R member. He recorded with the band. Didn't play any shows.
Brain might still be involved with GN'R.
Robin was touring with NIN, GN'R didn't know if he was gonna be back once they had touring commitments. Announcement was made when they realized they had to replace him.

Two out of three examples concern people who were involved with the old band. Also happened in the 1990s.
Buckethead's departure was announced by GN'R once the band had to cancel a show.

So, the situations are a bit different.

Airing his grievances in public is what makes me think he wasn't happy.

Ok.
And if you spin it around, why focus on the negativity? Every GN'R fan knows the deal.

And what's the source of the alleged unhappiness?

If not for Ron's complaints, who do we have to thank for the improvement on stage time?

How about the one you blame?

I do not think there is any doubt that Bumblefoot has been unhappy.

Of course! In interviews he has talked about bully coming from other band members. Just last year he had some kind of fight with DJ on twitter. He also made comments he didn?t have good communication with management. And just after their last South American tour he posted in twitter "60 days and counting" like some prissoner counting the days to get out of jail

You mean Axl?   rofl     I doubt it, I reckon it's Beta that gets them on stage on time. I can picture her madly running around finding the things they've misplaced, taking drinks from them,  beer       pushing them towards the stage & ordering them to get going.   rant

It takes a woman to keep men in line, since she's taken over they've been a lot better - keep up the good work Beta  peace  hihi
