Came across this article on Blabbermouth.  Good news about the sales from the 2nd residency, as a long time GNR fan I think the talk of reunion is off base here, it should've just been focused on this lineup

Can't wait for the next one! I've seen 2 shows at each one so far. In my opinion the stage show was better in 2012...but Axl sounded way better this year. The rest of the band were on fire both times like always. I just hope it's with the same exact lineup...no reunion, and I hope bumble doesn't go anywhere. He's been the only one in the band promoting the movie release on Facebook and Twitter...which is hopefully a sign that he's not leaving guns and all of the rumors are bs.

I don't see the rumors of the original lineup being off based. It's common sense that the original lineup would make a tremendous amount of money and be a global success. With that being said, I do like this lineup a lot. I wish, though, that they would do a NYC residency.

Great news that the 2nd residency did so well! I loved seeing the band and old and new friends. Unfortunately I had a severe reaction to all the cigarette smoke and almost ended up in the hospital, so I don't think it would be wise for me to attend any more shows in Las Vegas. But the memories will last a lifetime. beer

No better way to counter all the talk of reunion than putting out a new album by this band.

I think the sums that would be offered for a reunion will be too much for anyone to turn down so expect at some point in the near future for it to happen but long term the goodwill being shown to the current lineup through the current shows and residency is great to hear for to long the nonsense surrounding the main players has overshadowed the current line up and that's a crying shame as they're a hell of a live band.

I mean don't get me wrong. They may offer a shit ton of money for a reunion. I personally love the current line up but how could you criticize them for taking the money, it's easy for us to say they don't need it but I know I wouldn't refuse it.

On a more realistic note, I'd like to see a mini residency in Atlantic City with the current line up!!!

I don't see Izzy going for a major world tour; without him, what's the point? I would love to see an Atlantic City residency (it's a 2 1/2 hr drive for me). Hopefully i'll be able to catch the next Vegas residency, looked like a great production. Til then, i'm looking forward to the DVD.

I know this isn't going to be a popular response.....mainly because people see Vegas as a place for washed up acts....but i kinda wish they would set up even a longer residency in Vegas the next time around.  Maybe even use it as a means to write/record.finish new material as always has been rumoured.  A longer residency would give people the notice needed to make plans to go and see them.  Of course I don't know the money side of things, but if these residencies are financially viable (smaller crowd, but less cost in moving equip, etc.), then do an extended run.
I love the Joint!  Perfect venue.  Screw the seats, get GA.....you can get up front or hang out more relaxed at the sound board (you are still closer than the VIP seating).  Everyone should see GNR in Vegas.

And the "original lineup reunion".....that's a ghost that is going to unfairly haunt GNR forever....

Yep. Now that Vegas is over, let's hope Axl makes good on his desire to put together a tracklist.  If he does that soon, there's no real reason we could not foreseeably have an album by oh, let's say, November...

I hope the Hard Rock, GNR Management, and the band feel this second Residency was as much of a success that I did.  Axl sounded great.  The fans were receptive and pretty much well behaved.  The Security seemed friendlier than 2012, and the band members were really cool to the fans around the casino.  This is what it's all about.  What a success.  It was such a great time I never wanted to leave.  Axl Rose is still the king of rock.   I have no doubt this won't be the last.   I hope the HRH and GNR stay partners for a long, long time.

Heard about a possible Hard Rock Casino opening up in AC.  Would love to see a residency on the east coast.  Either at Sands Casino Bethlehem or anywhere in AC.

I agree.  All the clips I saw from all the shows were pretty solid.

I still can't believe how great he sounded on 'Prostitute'.  I gave up on ever hearing that one again, but he killed it.

What a way to end the spring run. South America was a blast. Great shows, great to see old and new places/friends.

Then the US shows. Bethlehem and Rock On The Range (chilly evening!).
Then the return to The Joint. Another great residency with some of the most memorable GN'R shows ever.

That 6.6. show will be talked about in the future just like certain shows from the past.....

Very grateful to have been able to experience all this. Thanks to all who made it possible and into such an amazing time.  beer

Yeah, would love a bootleg of that 6.6.14 show.  Fingers crossed.

We got so lucky we got such a good version of the 12.19.09 show, which to me, is the best new line-up show ever.

Not sure how viable a residency is at either spot.  Bethlehem, more so.

Then again, if these residencies are the only domestic shows they do, I suppose that encourages people to travel to see them.
