Why would he quit Guns N' Roses?
Who does that?

A bunch of people did that. Izzy, Slash, Duff, Bucket, Fink, Brain, Freese. So the list can go on

People who feel frustrated by how dysfunctional the band is and disillusioned by not having any power to change things despite making numerous efforts at improving band/fan interaction, spicing up setlists, writing new songs for the next record, etc?

Was it not everyone's "last show"?  Until someone says "I'm/he's leaving gnr"....I wouldn't jump to conclusions.

Axl gave people notice that after the residency there were no immediate plans....allowing people to plan their own shit and everyone jumped to the conclusion they were retiring.

It was the last show of the Vegas Residency. Not the very last show.

Despite Bumblefoot's clear frustrations with the band, his countdown tweet, his refusal to say he won't be leaving on direct requests (usually he would dismiss such a rumour immediately unless), admin at mygnrforum claiming he wants to leave, and many more implied actions, he could very well be staying. Perhaps he is just powerplaying with Axl/TB to get a pay raise or change something in regards to his conditions in the band or how the band is run, but we all know trying to force Axl's hand very rarely succeeds (the only exception I can think of was in Germany in 1991 when the venue forced Axl to finish a gig).

I hope he stays. But since the begining of this tour and before Ron has been complaning about differents things in interviews, chats and twitter. Once in his twitter he said "67 days and counting" When he said that there were 67 days left until this last show.

And there were weird things about Tommy as well. Why didn?t he play Golden Gods? There was a rumor he had a broken rib. However no details on the matter. Why he took a day off when Duff joined GN?R in Vegas?

Given Bumble's clear love of the fans i suspect it could well be it or not who knows but it would be a big loss to the band thats for sure.

Me too. He is the best guitarist in the current line-up.

Both Ron and Tommy looked to be enjoying themselves to me.  In fact I have never seen the whole band having such a good time together on stage.  I think this residency was the peak for this incarnation of GNR this far....here's hoping it continues on.

Axl did say "see you later this year" last night!

Another epic 3 hour show! This time they did TWAT correctly with the musical intro.
Axl told funny story how he forgot to blow and throw whistle on during Paradise  Friday night because he was distracted by dancers' ass ("I am only human")

So they started Paradise, he throws the whistle but fucks up the song so they restart from beginning with new whistle.

At end Axl said they hope to do another residency some time and said "maybe later in the year we will see some of you " which implies a limited US tour later in '14.

I for one got absolutely no sense that Ron was saying goodbye.  He was just saying thanks to those who are not usually thanked publicly

Thats great to hear. I doubt that Ron is leaving the band.

Friday night ass distraction. Another tough day in the life of Axl   Grin

Yep.  He's gone.

It was inevitable given his work ethic vs. Axl's.  The fact he lasted 8 years, frankly, is a plus.

He helped us out.  I wish him nothing but the best.

I have a question.

Did they meet all together to write music as it was heard before these shows?

Nothing about leaving GNR, so that's good. Everybody wants to quit their job at some point, it's natural .....

Didn't ron dedicate abnormal to the gnr crew?

I don't remember him ever doing that before.....

Sounds like maybe a good bye

Sounds like the last 4 shows starting with duff were some of the best shows over the past 4 years

Ron dedicated "Abnormal" to his mother last month, who was in the audience.  I don't know of other dedications, but dedicating to the crew is just something nice to do, because they take good care of him and GN'R.

A few crew members surprise Ron in 2012
