Waiting for Promised Land....

« Reply #20 on: April 05, 2014, 05:04:05 PM »

But, the point is that no reason was given, whether or not the delayed flight had anything to do with it or not.

Ali

Don't you think if it was cancelled because of the flight they would have posted that?  If, for some reason management cancelled it, it might say cancelled "at the request of management?"

Not necessarily. If the flight was delayed and there was a rehearsal later in the day, management could have said, "we really need you at the rehearsal to run through the set. Can we cancel the interview?" It still would be canceled at the request of management.

The point is there may have been a reason behind management not wanting Duff to do the interview, as opposed to just opting to be difficult.

Ali

Wow dude, you really are drinking the kool aid.  If the delayed flight had anything to do with the interview being canceled, it would've been mentioned as the reason why.  TB canceled the interview.  Period.  Your spin that they did it so Duff could go to rehearsal is unfounded and simply putting lipstick on the pig.  If they wanted to give us a reason, they would have.
Wow, dude, when you have no valid counterargument, just toss a little potshot.

TB were not the ones who made any statement about why the interview was canceled. So, why and how would they give a reason when they made no statement to begin with?

Blame the same management you forgot to thank for getting Duff here (Buenos Aires).

Business as usual.

Interviews get cancelled all the time. It could be for any reason. Late arrival, extra practice, there is a barrel load of reasons

Duff will interview a max load after the event anyway.

It is obviously disappointing for the interviewer, but that entertainment for ya

The chicken or the egg.

Maybe you got some kind of issue with management that I'm not aware of, like some of the "objective" posters...

I have some issues with management for posting that?  Really?  No, just making some observations.

There is no proof it was Team Brazil.  They have no reason/control to have Duff cancel an interview.  People are letting their imaginations run wild.   Just to remind everyone, GNR really needs a bass player the next round of shows.....

GNR has bass player. So there is two options: Tommy decided Mats are more important and agree to book Replacments show while he know about touring with GNR, or TB booked tour knowing that Tommy has earlier commitments.

No matter what, I can't see anything to be grateful for TB. Specially as far we know Tommy asked Duff, not TB.

Please....

Tommy decided duff should fill in?

Nothing happens without the big chief giving his blessing

I don't think team brazil are the best thing fir Axl but they dint di anything without him saying yay or nay

So I'm not blaming them for a missed interview but I'm not giving them credit fir bringing duff to the tour... Thats Axl saying yes and Duff being loyal to their beginnings

I think I know. Dizzy did a radio interview in Argentina. So maybe if they had that one planned they thought there was no need for Duff to do it as well

It doesn't really matter tho ...even IF they stopped this for some silly reason...

Duff is his own man if he wants to speak about his...he will!

More importantly hopefully Axl is ok for tonight, supposedly he's battling the flu

I think an interview after the shows would make for more interesting questions.

In a way I wish Duff never tweeted the setlist. Would have been cool for everyone to go to the show then unexpectedly seen Duff there. When he came out in London I couldn't contain my excitement - totally wasn't expecting it, now he's just expected to be at the show tonight. Although, with fans at airports, hotels..etc it would have been very hard to keep it secret.

Anyway, this is gonna be a cool show. Wish I was going. Happy for the South American fans to get a special guest for a change.

An interview with Duff from the end of January 2014.

He talks about what it was like playing with Guns N' Roses current lineup.
