Personally I made a $2000 phone bill for my parents, later tricked the boss of the jail to let me go see the 2006 show, used up all my jail calling time, marked the leave as: seeing a show with my mom, which we did lol

Going to see them in Lisbon in 2006.  Was huge to me.  First time I had ever left the country, with the exception of Canada which is not far from my Seattle based home....  Have never stopped thinking about that experience still today!!

I once walked out of an audition (a call back for a commercial actually) cause one of the producers started talking shit about Axl when he saw my Illusion tattoo. I had a good shot of scoring that gig too but I wasn't about to stand there letting this bougie fatback talk a bunch of crap.

I flew across the country to see Axl perform in 2001 despite people telling me it was a risk he wouldn't show up.  They were wrong!

Guess it'll have to be that we named our son William Axl. Axl must be honoured (not knowing) having such a beautiful boy named after him :-)

I was 3rd or 4th row and right next to the center walkway.Axl's glasses landed 2 meters away from me after Brownstone but that m/f security guard kept them.

Quit my job to see them open for Aerosmith at the Spectrum (RIP) in '88. I did ask for the day off a few weeks earlier, but my boss forgot about it and wouldn't let me have off, so....see ya!

As far as $ and collecting, me too!  As for the size and/or content of your collection - as long as you're happy, that's what matters!

lets see all the money I have spent on my collection over the years. Driving with Cineater all the way too Sturgis in 2010. 900 miles! I wasn't going too miss my fav. band play at my favorite place on the planet. Actually went too Vegas in 2002 after the tour was cancelled not wanting too lose our airfare. We tried too make the best out of it but I have too admit it totally sucked when we got there and the billboard was still up on the main highway. lol

Spent over 12k seeing all GNR's Australia shows in 2010 and 2013
Saw one show in Melbourne 93 and 2 shows in Melbourne  2007

Spent tens of thousands on my GNR collection

I spent 1k on my 5 Axl Rose Topps cards that are still pending release

Went to see them at Eastern Creek raceway in Sydney in 1993 as a 16 year old.

Caught the overnight bus (1000k journey from home) each way, stayed in a backpackers hostel for two nights and scrounged food for two days in Sydney with only $60 to my name...

On the return journey I could only afford 2x 30 cent ice cream cones as a McDonalds was the only place they stopped for us to eat. Otherwise I'd probably just have nicked something...

Wow! My friends think I'm obsessed with GNR. The only thing that I have done was support them by buying their albums and going to shows when they are in the NJ/NYC area when I can afford it.
