For us who were there and seen all shows on this tour, it was clearly the best. Anybody claiming otherwise has a weird reference point.

I gave WTTJ a few more listens here at the office after reading Ali's post on the last page.  Truthfully, it does sound better than the first two nights.

Hey...did you see earlier where I complimented the addition of new songs to the setlist?  And the energetic crowd?

From what I could hear of Jungle, it sounded fine.  The only thing is that during the 2nd (?) verse, it sounded like he could use a bit more breath support.  But, otherwise, I thought it was fine.  Certainly not as bad as some have made it out to be.

Over time, the more clips that get posted from multiple shows will tell the tale, I suspect.

But, as I said, that awards show will leave no secrets.  The sound there will be impeccable.

Axl sounds excellent as expected.  Can't wait until May rolls around.  Then I get to be there live.

My 6-show jorney starts tomorrow at Sao Paulo! Will attend Sao Paulo, Curitiba, Florianopolis, Porto Alegre, Buenos Aires and La Paz! Give me a setlist like this and I'll be eating from the band's hand!

I still love the original 'Chinese Democracy' we got at RIR III.  Its a tight, 3 minute rocker.  That's the version I put on playlists.

Sadly, I think the overlong delay and excessive tweaking hurt this particular track on the album track we wound up with.

I agree with you, but it's still one of the highlights of the set and one of the best rockers in the GNR catalogue.

Also, I really really want this band to play Riad. I'm sorry if i'm repetitive, but Riad is a colossal song that GNR is not exploding live.

I think CD is a solid rock song with blazing guitar work but not in the same league awesome as Nightrain, OTGM, Jungle etc.off Appetite but other than YCBM off UYI, CD's rockers like Rhiad, Better, CD, Scraped are better than rockers what the UYI's have to offer, but they have many incredible epic tunes like Estranged & Civil War

I have a few DVDs from 2002 shows where the band plays Rhiad, it just doesn't translate to well live- that's prolly why they don't play it- it's got a great angry agressive vibe & AXL sounds awesome on the CD tho

I have several comments in this very thread that are both positive and refuting some of the complaints.  Hell, in one I even said I was wrong and perhaps a bit unfair initially.

But, naturally, you don't want to talk about those.

To paraphrase the big chief, I guess its "cool" to only focus on the stuff you don't like.
