Well Tommy seems more interested in The Replacements. If GN?R is so important to him he could?ve found a way around to be with both bands. Or pick GN?R over Replacements.

It's impossible to be in two places at once.

Maybe he had committed to the Replacements gigs before the GN'R gigs were confirmed.

I think it's strange that certain people feel this is a negative thing, or indicative of Tommy's allegiance or loyalty. Sometimes, people have other commitments which you have to honor, as Bumblefoot touched upon a while back regarding the scheduling of conflicting tours (of course, Bumble's part in the live show is a bit harder to replace). And isn't it then so great to see that Axl and Duff's friendship has endured to a point where he becomes the one you call to fill in for Tommy for a couple of shows? It's friends having each other's backs. That's all I take from it.

Why can't people just accept it as a rare treat. No judging on the is it good/bad. Where is the loyalty etc. look at it as a limited edition thing. Only a certain audience can have this and I'm sure in years people will have Been grateful for this chance. It's like owning live like a suicide or an alternative Chinese. Rare and special.

I think this is a positive thing all around.

I look forward to seeing Tommy in Vegas.

So good!!!    Duff and Axl for a full show is another level!  Playing a few songs is different!   
And Axl is in such an amazing place when you see his maturity and love of the music and fans!   Great stuff!  A dream!
