Yup, I was there too as im sure we're a few more ppl on this board. Axl was on top form, as were the rest of the guys (although i dont think I can forgive robin for the blues solo but hey...) but as always some critics still had words to say. anyone, lets hope they come to Scotland next time... What a nite....I will always remember as I made it to the centre front row at the barrier...and that was straight after having been on that mad 360 ride with too many beers...I was wearing an old tour shirt and loads of folk seemed to be asking me questions about what was going to happen...they were all GNR virgins.   IS any VIDEO footage available anywhere of this concert???

i was at leeds as well. what a day that was! only there for the friday for gn'r. sat in the comedy tent all day getting stoned and then made our way from the back when the prodigy started - got to the front by the time gn'r were due on. although my mate collapsed after another spliff during knockin on heavens door! smoking
got him through to the end of the gig but had to kip in a field in between some tents coz we had nowhere to go till the trains started!
then had to make it down to london on the monday for the docklands gig - best weekend ever.
anyway, i've got the leeds show on dvd - can't copy it though coz i ain't got the facilities - it's gettable though if you get a source, try http://gnrsucks.com/bootlegs/index.htm

I was there too, it fuckin rocked.
I remember running through Temple Newsam park during Paradise City to leave before the crush.
Also the Prodigy sucked and I was gettin pissed off waiting for them to finish.
Anyone know where I could pick up a bootleg of that to work on a region 4(?) (the european 1) dvd player?
I tried that link but it doesn't seem to work, any help would be much appreciated!

I miss Temple Newsam.

I was there. I was surprised when they actually came onstage. They were great, but SOIA were the band of the festival.

i was there too.they truly rocked.what a weekend that was with the pubcrawl in london aswell before that show.i preferred leeds as it was outside an gnr being a stadium band they sounded better.i must admit i wasnt 100% convinced they wud show.but it was worth the wait as the first two sets of dates the previous year were cancelled.thinkin back at it now makes the hairs on me neck stand on end.

My first GNR gig and it was a truly memorable night

The anticipation, that "will they turn up" feeling. That first sight of Axl.....

Nearly passing out during Out Ta Get Me

An amazing November Rain

So many good memories

Me too! I was there! I think it's actually my favourite time seeing them. I was on my own for the whole weekend, then got down to London for the Docklands Arena show as well! Had to get up really early to get down to London, and was about the only person up in the whole place, wandering around trying to get back into town to get the train. Great times.

I was there too and went down to see them in London couple days later...They were awesome...what a show. Still get goosebumps thinking of the opening bars of WTTJ and the rest was a rollercoaster

Guns N' Roses Strong Since 1999!

« Reply #18 on: April 01, 2010, 05:11:18 AM »

I wasn't there but from previous reports and current stage times in South America I can only hope Axl takes to the stage at the prompt time

As well as that, I would have loved to see the Docklands show, its often forgotten about in the face of their festival appearances...I would have given anything to be there (support came from Weezer too, which is why they were thanked in Chinese Democracy)
