whats the best place to stay if I don't wanna be at the Hard Rock? I might be solo too do wanna take that into consideration

You gotta give us some more hints.

Do you wanna stay close to the venue? Are you looking for a cheaper place than the Hard Rock?

By the way, you can get up to 15% off at the Hard Rock if you're going before May 30th: https://www.hardrockhotel.com/las-vegas-specials/hotel-deals/rooms-up-to-15-off-homepage/494

Could be tight.  Its about a 15 minute cab ride to the strip.

And they re-did their airport, so its a fucking haul now.  You have to take a freakin' monorail type dealy and still walk all the way through it.

Best of luck.

But he's not going to the strip... The Hard Rock is on Paradise Rd.

It's about five minutes without traffic....

A bit of advice to my East coast friends.  Try to get to Vegas a day before the show you are seeing.  In 2012, I went to a show the day I got there.  Since it ended at 3 AM, my body felt like it was 6 AM.  Yes, I am old and I got tired.  This time I am arriving a day early to get adjusted to the time zone difference.

That's what I am going to try and do when I come out there, also whats the best place to stay if I don't wanna be at the Hard Rock? I might be solo too do wanna take that into consideration

Try this hotel.  It is cheap, the rooms are big, and it's real close to Hard Rock:

I ordered VIP the first day available for Nightrain members. I got row E, I was a little disappointed because I wanted to get row C. I ordered my tickets for the first residency long after the initial sale and got row c.

There are tons of places off the strip that do not cost much at all. I am talking less than $50 a night. The main benefit of Hard Rock is that after the show you are "home" in 10 minutes so you can stumble up to your room and sleep. No dealing with taxis or having to go anywhere else.

The odd thing is that at 2-3 am all the bars at the Hard Rock are closed....so the options for staying up are limited.

Right. And don't take a shuttle bus like Supershuttle because they stop at hundreds of places en route. Spend a few bucks more and get a direct taxi and you'll be at the hotel in 15 minutes easy. Guns is unlikely to go on before 11 if there is an opening band.  My tix for June say "at 10pm" which I am guessing means the opening band. I highly doubt it means 10pm for Axl. I would think you'll be fine.

They went on around 12 on a Friday and Saturday during the last residency. Isn't the main center bar in the casino open all night?

^Maybe, I actually don't remember, but I do remember all the bars in the outer loop were closed.

At that point I'd try another airport like Philadelphia or Newark.

I got a Southwest Air vacation package from Dallas which included airfare and 2 nights at Hard Rock for $693. Air tickets alone were $600 and hotel room alone was $130 a night, so I think I got a good deal. For those of you served by SW Air, check out their vacation packages. Just click on "Vacation" and then "air plus hotel."
