Ok, I am in for June 6 and 7. The AXS website is funky. I used the American express pre-sale and one link did not let me in but the second did. So Vegas here I come, second time in 6 mos and third separate time I will see GNR in Vegas. Can't fucking wait.

having trouble with am ex presale. i used 800 number on card. no dice. any advice? thanks

There are two AE boxes on AXS.com site. The top one did not work for me. The bottom one did. I put in the 1-888 then whatever the number was on my card.

Be sure there are no spaces between the numbers. So it would be 1800xxxxxxx or for me 1888xxxxxxx.

I entered the data in the first AE box and got nothing, then opened second AE box and everything worked and I did not even reenter the data. As I said, its a funky process.

i sat up there one night and stood right in front of the stage another night.... sure the seats are more relaxing...but the crowd up there was quite dead and boring, a lot of people didn't stay for the whole show as well... guess they were in a rush to get back to blackjack haha

I agree. On 12.31.11 I was in 304 and I was the only person in the whole fucking section that was standing. You can see me when you look at Jarmo's photo from the stage to the audience. A lot of people left, it was a dead scene. But then 11.21.12 I was on the floor (the DVD show) and again a lot of people left. In fact the guy and his wife next to me left immediately after Brownstone!! It was the third song in the show and they left!!

My point is that there are  a lot casual lookers and not all gunners so no matter where you are people will leave. No guarantees even on the floor. Although truth be told on the floor right at the stage is the best for sure.

I agree. On 12.31.11 I was in 302 and I was the only person in the whole fucking section that was standing. You can see me when you look at Jarmo's photo from the stage to the audience. Yeah... i spoke with a lot of people around town during the residency that were not die hard fans that went to just check out the shows because it was like an event they wanted to check out

not a knock on GNR...but anytime any act plays for almost three hours at that time of night... only die hards are going to stick thru the whole show

when i stood up in the balcony an older couple behind me actually asked me if i could sit because they couldnt see ! lol

so yeah i definitely recommend the GA for this venue with the whole vegas residency background, because there are a lot of just people checking out something new while on vacation

This has started to happen a lot at arena/stadium shows as well...
I remember seeing Depeche Mode and people stood up for one or two songs (the biggest hits), then sat down for the rest of the show...

When I saw Guns in Vegas on 11.23.12 (the first Izzy appearance) some people in my section stood up and the section behind started yelling at them to sit down. A couple of girls next to me stood the whole time even though the people behind them were calling them names and throwing shit at them. I just thought to myself, what is the point of going to a rock concert if you are going to sit the whole show. And of course everyone stands up for Sweet Child and then sits back down. I just don't get it.

I went to see Avenged Sevenfold during the last tour. I like a few of their songs, wouldn't say I'm a huge fan by any means but for $30 tickets it was worth seeing. If you're a diehard A7X fan, it would be the best show ever with the production and all, but we stayed for like an hour then left......

Now for GNR I stay until the band is off, because they're my favorite, but if you're a casual fan, I'd guess most people want to check it out to say they saw GNR but they end up getting a 3 hour show  beer

Yeah, isn't that weird?

If someone wants to sit for a song they don't know, hey, go ahead.  But to tell the people in front of you to sit down?  Are you kidding me?  Have you ever been to a rock concert?

Try being a 28 year old Stones fan.  If you clap too loudly you run the risk of upsetting the guy behind you at one of their concerts.  It's unreal.

Sadly, this is the state of concerts these days. It's not $5.50 anymore to see a show, more like $100.
It's a different audience.

So true.  I've seen the last several tours all the way back to 'Voodoo Lounge'.

I am often the only one in my section that knows the new songs.  It always seems like everyone around me, the last album they bought was 'Some Girls', and the latest tune they know is 'Start Me Up'.

The friend I took to the last Stones show I went to last May is a huge fan, and is a pretty eccentric guy.  When they started playing Rocks Off he started dancing around, singing along.  The guys behind us were furious.  They were like "Sit down man! These tickets were expensive!!"  They were furious that someone interrupted their staring contest with the stage.   Roll Eyes

I bought tix to 5/24, 5,25, 5/30, 5/31 and 6/7. Very excited. The 1 day presage on gunsnroses.com was a good deal.

Thats crazy.
I have also been there in a Stones gig where they play a song like rough justice and the whole stadium just stops breathing and asking each other whos cover is this. really bizarre. well thats what happens when you go to see a concert that 1 in every 10 people wants to see .
