Just a rumour...

According to the blog of "Diario de Pernambuco" (Brazilian newspaper) some negotiation is in course to the band play in Brazil's northeast. The date is 17th April, Thursday, and the city is Olinda*, the venue Chevrolet Hall.

*The publication mentions Recife, but the venue is in Olinda, very very close to Recife.

About the S?o Paulo show:

I am afraid that the show will not have a good crowd.
the show is for over 16s only. most fans who like this line up have this age. Besides the very high prices. It's ABSURD.

GNR's gig in Belo Horizonte is going to be at Planeta Brasil Festival, at Esplanada do Mineir?o (outside the stadium...). Tickets will be available for nightrain members on January 27th, and the prices go from R$110 to R$500.

On the link I posted it says there will be other 8 bands, 2 of which also international, and 6 DJ's.

On the last edition, in 2012, the line up was the most generic you can imagine (as I saw on their website, http://festivalplanetabrasil.com.br/2012/), filled with rappers and pop rock bands. Honestly, I don't like the kind of public this type of event brings. Usually playboys who couldn't care less about music and are only  there to get drunk, get into arguments with whoever crosses their way in order to impress dumb girls with whom they can bang.

I mean, I've never had any sort of problems in any of the rock/metal shows I've attended in my whole life. But I almost got into a fight on the line to see Joss Stone (who I love, btw) because of one of those douchebags who wants to impress dumb sluts.

Guns N? Roses Book 2014 South American Tour

Guns N? Roses will be back on the road in 2014. The eight-piece band consisting of vocalist Axl Rose, guitarists DJ Ashba, Richard Fortus and Ron ?Bumblefoot? Thai, bassist Tommy Stinson, keyboardists Dizzy Reed and Chris Pitman and drummer Frank Ferrer heads to South America in March for several concerts.

The trek kicks off March 16 in Mexico City as GN?R headline the second night of the Hell & Heaven Metal Festival. After that they?ll venture to Brazil for multiple shows, followed by one-offs in Argentina and Paraguay, wrapping up April 9. (dates below)

2013 passed without a new album from the band (?Chinese Democracy? was released back in 2008), but a new song ?Going Down? surfaced online before being quickly taken down.

However, the year was eventful for some band members. Guitarist DJ Ashba got engaged and married to Nathalia Henao, but the proposal caused some controversy.

Ashba arranged for a private helicopter tour of Las Vegas before he popped the question. The proposal sparked an investigation after the use of a Las Vegas police helicopter came into question. A police captain has now retired, an air support lieutenant was transferred elsewhere and the pilot who flew Ashba and Henao is no longer allowed to fly for the Las Vegas Metro Police Department.

Also in 2013, guitarist Bumblefoot teamed up to form the new all-star Kiss tribute band A.L.I.V.E.! with Pantera and Kill Devil Hill bassist Rex Brown, former Whitesnake drummer Brian Tichy and Kill Devil Hill guitarist Mark Zavon.
