Sad news, Lou Reed passed away yesterday.  I was never a huge fan of his or of Velvet Underground, mostly because I don't think I ever invested enough time to get into his music, but I did always love this song:

RIP Lou. One of the all time greats and a true trailblazer. We may not have many groups that we do today if not for him and Velvet Underground.

Yes, sign of the times. The great ones are dying and unfortunately there are not people to replace them.  Above all, Lou was a guy who was not afraid of challenges. That project with Metallica for example, he had nothing to gain from that, but he did it anyway...
