i believe the Replacements have been nominated for the Rock HOF ... more HOF debate? lol

Yes they did....as I have always said. Outside of Ax, Tommy is the real stud in Gnr. He is the only one with true rock, industry credentials. I doubt they will get in but at least they are being considered.

it's always kind of troubled me that Tommy a long with a couple others admitted they were not fans of GNR's music prior to joining.

but i have much respect for him now... and also glad his band, the replacements are being considered

maybe he was a bit jealous at the time because The Replacements never had that huge hit...they have great, great songs but none of them ever made a impact on the mainstream radio (they made a huge impact on college radio)....they had plenty of chances as MTV reported on them all the time. To me, Unsatisfied, Bastards of Young and Left of the Dial completely represents my generation and they are iconic songs. Anybody who was a real rock fan in the 80's knows this. The songs are every bit as good as Jungle, Sweet Child, and Paradise City. Anyhow, still love both bands dearly.
