Rock Keyboardists: Where Does Dizzy Stand?

Consider this a fluff thread or whatnot but it came to mind this morning:
Where does Dizzy sit amongst the all-time great rock keyboardists? I'm talking bands that had a dedicated keyboardist that played on studio tracks and live, not bands who had a piano/keyboard part in the odd song. I'm also discounting frontmen here so no Axl or Trent Reznor etc. Dedicated keyboardists.
The primary one that comes to mind is Ray Manzarek of The Doors who passed away earlier this year, and to me he'd get my all-time #1 vote... but I really can't think of any others I really know by name, aside from Dizzy. I googled and found a few lists and ok, Wright from Flyod but yeah... Dizzy is in the Hall of Fame and to me is seriously under appreciated.

I like what dizzy does on stage, but my all time favourite will always be Jon Lord from Deep Purple, that guy was a really brilliant composer and player

I don't think Dizzy gets the respect and credit he deserves cos he wasn't there from the start. But he is an awesome player, played on all albums but the first two, been in the land longer than anyone except Axl. He's dead loyal and must have the patience of a saint lol.

Wherever he ranks, it's not above John Paul Jones.

It depends if you're talking about the musician or the keyboard player (tecnique etc)...Imho Dizzy is not very skilled (ex: I think zig zag was way better than dizzy), but maybe he is more involved in the songwriting etc so that he's more important for gnr than many other keyboard players out ther for their own bands. But talking about skills etc, imho is far from being in the top 10, at least for what he has showed with gnr

I actually would rank Dizzy as my favourite keyboardist ever, I think he's very skilled and has a completely unique style. All of his solos are perfect, and he can also write brilliant solo music which I've been begging to be released since 2007. He has an amazing voice to boot, and I genuinely feel he is exceptional at his craft and will always be my favourite.

First that come to mind are Ian Mclagan from the Faces, Stones (played with Izzy too), Nicky Hopkins (Stones), Booker T, John Paul Jones, Max Middleton..
Not sure where I rank Dizzy. I was under the impression he just played what Axl had written on Illusions.
Regardless I've got a soft spot for the guy since he's a holdover from that era of Guns.
I think Street of Dreams is the strongest track of the new era.
This list could get long quick if open to pianists.

Keyboards - piano, synth or organ? When it comes to rock, some people are better playing one over the other two.
