I actually had a ticket and passed on it. $160 just isn't worth it for the same show I saw at Webster hall, terminal 5 and rose land last year (there was a $10 service charge, thus the $160 tag)

I kinda agree bro. I was at "the ritz" and roseland. I gave my Terminal 5 tixs away. It is alot for basically the same show... BUT, I still would like to go but for personal reasons .. I cant... But for those that havent seen them "intimate" it'll be great for them!

LOL yes its a bowling alley....but they also have a stage ...

it happens to be a pretty cool place... even for a non hipster like me..

im gunna try to go

Just doesn't sound too cool to say GN'R is playing in a bowling alley....

Umm, what kind of bowling alley has a concert venue inside?

Quote
Brooklyn Bowl has redefined the destination entertainment experience. ?One of the most incredible places on earth,? according to Rolling Stone, Brooklyn Bowl integrates a premier performance venue, food by Blue Ribbon, bars which feature local craft brewed beers, and 16 bowling lanes which give guests a unique place to relax, eat, drink and watch a performance.

Is Axl into bowling? He seems to have bowling alleys in his hotel rooms & now playing at one, do I take it he actually does 10 pin bowling & if so - how good is he??  Smiley

Congrats to all you lucky people going, if I was over there I couldn't care if they sang nursery rhymes for 3hrs, I'd still buy a ticket.   ok

Not to be a dick but how can some of you not swing $150 on the spot? Unless you're in college what is the excuse?

Just got 2 tickets. Smiley

I agree with WAR41 but I think he didn't mean people in a situation such as yours Jazjme. You are a huge fan but have a lot going on. I assume WAR41 meant people who always complain they have no money or it's too expensive but then have no problem wasting $50 or $100 in drinks at a bar on a regular basis. I know several  people like that.

I'm glad the band is giving us the opportunity to see them in such a small venue (website says 600 people capacity) unlike the previous private events where we couldn't go.

You've been to 25 of their concerts plus some Vegas shows as well?  Shocked  That sounds fantastic & you've obviously seen many changes over that time with the band.
Do you have a favourite era or have you enjoyed all the lineups?
Sorry you are in the situation you're in, life really does suck but you do have all those memories watching Axl growing up from a skinny 25yr old to being a 51yr old still attracting the crowds, the women & touring with some great band members.  ok
Hope your health is ok at the moment.  yes

I enjoyed all line ups, I was in a head on collision when I was 22 yrs old Dec. 1992 , by that time I had seen GNR 8-10 times.. while in the hospital as it was near Christmas all I wanted was the GNR VHS shows that were just released from Tokyo shows. Since then I saw them every time I could in NYC, from MSG 2002 and every show pretty much till my last shows in Vegas last yr. I loved every show . They keep me alive for sure. And yeah Im doing good health wise, so long as I do the things I need to. I have no doubt that I'll see them again some point later in the future. Smiley

Actually it's not on the spot..Next credit card bill is in about 1 month..Biggest obstacle is clearing the calendar..

I think it shows that in the US with the band playing smaller shows etc, that they can do cool things like this. Adding a show here and there as they please, making the "tour" up as they go along essentially. Compared to anywhere else in the world where things need to be planned months in advance and a tour booked to every detail, with barely any time in between.
