I'd love to see the Stones again but there's no Dallas show as of yet and tickets for the cheapest seats are $200 ouch.

So far, I've got tickets for Soundgarden and that's it.

If Mick Taylor were to be there instead of Ronnie Wood, I'd be there as well, but think I'll pass on the Stones this summer.

Sabbath could be cool, and I'll probably check out AIC if they hit Boston.

Slash maybe on the agenda as well (depending on venue), a Tulsa date is being announced by Slash himself on one of the local rock stations tomorrow morning.

Ron Wood is a great guitar player. What the fuck is wrong with your brain? You daft? The Stones sound a million times better now than they did in the 70s.

Crazy, passing on probably the greatest band to ever smash into planet earth. But you're going to Soundgarden? puke

Social D was pretty good last week, Mike Ness is still cool as hell.

The only band from that scene I've ever found remotely interesting..

Ron Wood is a great guitar player, I agree,
Faces are one of my all time favorite bands, and I enjoyed his solo albums and bass playing in JBG.

I also think Mick Taylor is one of the most criminally underrated guitarists in rock(granted he's not doing much these days).

Stones have been far more miss than hit since he left.
If you think the Stones are better today than the days they were cranking out Sticky Fingers, Exile on Main Street etc, then that's your opinion.
I sure as all hell don't share it.

Plundered my Soul was a nice return to form. Not a coincidence Mick Taylor was all over it.

Not knocking the Stones though. Not sure there's a band I enjoy more than them, but personally don't feel inclined to fork over an obscene amount of money to see a band 40 years past it's prime and missing the guitarist I'd prefer to see. If one of my friends calls with tickets, I may change my tune!

I'm sure they won't disappoint anyone that does attend.

In other news, Soundgarden put on a hell of a show.

and Soundgarden do put on a hell of a show these days!

The Stones on their current tour sound the best they have in quite some time. Obviously they aren't what they were in their heyday. Having Mick Taylor out with this is quite a nice treat. I was not born yet when he left so getting to see him play Midnight Rambler on their PPV show in December was great. Mick is a fantastic player. If they were coming to Dallas i'd probably go just to be able see Mick Taylor in person. You can't knock Ronnie Wood though, he's also a great guitar player. I think his Stones stuff doesn't due justice to how good he really is.

As for Soundgarden they put on a helluva show. Saw them back in the 90s before their split at Lollapalooza 96.

Only thing planned is Motorhead this November in Manchester.

Would like to get to Blackpool next month for Cocksparrer at the Rebellion Festival but it's not likely. I will no doubt see a few DIY punk bands play various toilet sized venues. How you could afford, or be arsed with The Stones is beyond me.

Only thing I have for sure is Earth Crisis/Shai Hulud on July 14.  I was going to see Adler on July 16, but, well, ya know  no

I am sure I will hit up a random show at some point.

Not live, that's for damned sure. The Stones became amazing live on the Steel Wheels tour. That's when they started caring about how they sounded live. Those Mick Taylor albums you all love came from the architect Keith Richards. You gotta ask yourself, how many masterpieces can any one artist actually create? I'm a Stones fanatic and have dissected and watched tons of shows, so I'd like to think I know my shit.

the guitar weaving Ronnie and Keith did on Some Girls is unmatched to this day. No artists have come close in the rock N' roll world.
