I was just going to mention that. Everyone said Lollapalooza was no longer cool when Metallica headlined. I know some people who complained 4 or 5 years ago that Bonnaroo was no longer an all hippie jam band festival. Of course these same people now like dubstep or whatever the current flavor of the week is. You'll never please the hipsters. Tell this guy to enjoy Grizzly Bear and the XX and talk to GNR fans in 10 years when no one remembers who these bands were.

Also, I find it very ironic when the most closed minded people around act as the racism and homophobia police.

Check out the weather in NJ during and the week after this past Super Bowl...Awful idea to be playing it in NJ because the weather is solo unpredictable..

This will be another success for GN'R, no doubt. Guns will win over the crowd, just like they always do. You are always going to get critics when it comes to GN'R, but that's what makes them so special... Because they always end on top.  Grin

oh cool thanks, thats even better.   Yeah I have never purchased a single ticket to a festival before I always just buy the weekend pass, so I'm not familiar with it.  A festival has to have a lot of shitty bands for me not to buy the 3 day pass..... hihi

I'll be going all three, the girlfriend likes some of the other bands so we'll be there all weekend.

I've found with Coachella, Firefly, Lolla... etc. as long as the tickets don't go overboard sell out when first on sale - they release single days a few months before hand.

I'm sure some people will be selling off tickets/passes on Craigslist and Stubhub.

I don't remember the area being super big or anything when I went to Lollapalooza there. That and Central Park are probably the two places in the NY area that have had concert fests the longest in America.

Wonder if GNR are going to do a summer shed tour, the outdoor amphitheaters, or stick to the ball courts and hockey rinks. The only problem is that some of those venues are near residences, and the cities have the curfew crap...

I have heard the sheds are very stringent on curfews.

According to the band's official web site.

But since the festival hasn't announced their schedule yet, we can't be 100% sure...


Kings of Leon have the 7th listed on their site, so we know that's not GN'R's date....

Hopefully they'll also announce the line ups for each day....

Apparently headliners get a 90 minute slot.
