Last World Cup, they had a 3 hour Celebration Fest and an hour concert for the opening ceremonies. I don't remember if the entire Celebration Fest was televised, or if they're having it again, but would be awesome if GNR played next year, it just seems like they'd want to be a part of it and not just watch it on TV thousands of miles away. 

I don't know the politics involved in bands/singers that play there, if the organizers are the ones who ask the artists, or vice versa.

My money is on something among the names of Gilberto Gil, Daniela Mercury, Lulu Santos and Ivete Sangalo...and, of course, the rhythm section of a major Samba School. Sadly. Undecided

I think it will be really cool to have GN'R perform at the ceremony for the World Cup in 2014. GN'R do have close links to Brazil, and have a close relationship with Rock In Rio as we all know.

It's going to be a fun time all over the world, and to have Guns involved would be perfect.  ok
