Ive just seen it on youtube. If it was a legit link, actually sounding as the blue ray/dvd. What the fuck? Was it a bad joke? As a Concert film that is. The footage is great, flashy. But the recording and editing of the sound? The overall sound, the sound of the audience which was completley muted most of the time. The sound of the vocals and the instruments. I heard it good as it was played and singed alright! But I got no feeling at all of how it sounded when it was played in the room at the show for the crowd. Nothing. Zero emotion. A crowd usuallly hear the Concert trough amplifiers and speakers, not soundboards? Yes?
Even when I see the footage and hear the Music. There is no way I can even compare it on any level whit what I consider a classic GNR show like The Ritz 88. That one seems to me to be recorded as it sounded through amplifiers and speakers in the room for the crowd.

I'm sorry, this was nothing. It's impossible the feel something for this film. Well one ca feel something I guess and from listening and whatching what can I say? Badly played? No! The vocals, where they good or bad? Hard to tell since the soundboard editing and muting and whatever took away a lot of analouge Dynamics so it came off as uninspiring. And the playing again, not bad musicsicans but doesnt the new band play a wee bit faster than the old one live and loose some groove over it? Interesting to see when you see as many songs in a row how Little DJ Ashba actually contributes. He has some key melodic leads as soon as gets trickier beyond posing Fortus and Bumblefoot steps in?

Ok this is a bad Review. But not of the band or their performance really. Cause I couldnt here it through anything else than soundboard so I think it was a bad film
The London o2 wasnt like this was it? I ejoyed it several times, both in a Cinema setting and elsewhere.  Remebering it as having a more live feel?

How did you enjoy the O2 in cinema, I thought was never released in theaters... Anyways, i regard this as a way better release than the O2 from an editing standpoint. Listen to the audio on the Vegas show and you can hear the crowd just enough when it's needed. You can find plenty of youtube videos where the crowd noise is as loud as the band and the occasional "yo man this is awesome" or "pass me that beer dude" is present from the audience members right next to the camera.

The O2 show was shown in in Cinemas in Sweden march 2013. Awsome film! I'm watching it now, sounds way better in my taste. I would actually prefer a whole lot of mobile phone recordings Before the Vegas film. I Think the O2  show is better as a show than Tokyo Dome from 1992 (was what it named?) and I was looking forward to the Vegas release to see what Guns could sound like nowadays in comparisson to the Ritz 1988 in a smaller more intimate setting but the editing and mixing and whatever completley screwed it up. And maybe the whole Vegas approach isnt my preference. I keep on hoping then. For a film where there is just the amps on the floor and the band 'in a room ripping it out. It?s a shame because this band had that kind of jamming quality on several shows Ive seen them on recent tours. I'll keep whatching whats out there with the band, besides Vegas and hope they be more like Lez Zeppelins "Celebration Day" on a future release. Seriously, one have to see "Celebration Day", style, class and groove  excellent recording, you can hear all instruments as you'd Picture  them sounding if you where there. I know  Guns have the talent to do something like that, but this production and muting sucked!

Slash should have gotten a writing credit for 'Estranged' on the album 20 years ago, if you ask me.

What is that song without those guitar parts?  Well, we know, don't we?  We've all heard the piano demo.

^ And in fact, at one point, and I cannot remember if it was a concert or an interview, Axl personally thanked Slash for the guitar solos and giving the song its soul. Come to think of it, I think it was on the Estranged video. Anyway, there is documented gratitude for Slash's contribution.

I think it was also in the Making Fucking Videos, the one for Estranged. Not the music vid, but the whole thing about the making of the video that has interviews and background info.

Finally got it.

The one song that stands out is easily The Seeker for me. Wow!

Also, DJ Ashba is listed as CO-LEAD guitarist. While Bumbles is LEAD guitar, in the introduction desert howlin' video extras.

Makes sense.

Yeah, 'The Seeker' is one of the best tunes they do lately.  Not sure I've heard a bad one.
