Has anyone been able to download the digital movie and/or soundtrack yet?

Per Fantracks it should have been available yesterday 7/8. I don't see any change on my account yet.

No, I still can't download the digital DVD yet. I messaged them but haven't gotten a response yet.

Arrived today (UK). So great to have an official release to add to the collection. I've been streaming it for a while but great to see it on the tv with DTS suround sound.

It really highlights how great the band are and the mix for the most part is very good. Axl sounds fine on most of it but I must agree he's not as strong vocally as he was on the recent Vegas stint. I found certain sections of November Rain a bit ropey for example.

The sound is definitely out of sync at certain moments but not in a way that you can pin it down or correct it as it's only for a section at a time. Watch civil war "We practice selective annihilation of mayors and government officials to create a vacuum, then we fill that vacuum." section for example and you'll see what I mean.

But on the whole very happy.

No, I still can't download the digital DVD yet. I messaged them but haven't gotten a response yet.
I got a message from them today and they said it will be ready for download on July 15th.

My import copy from Amazon US arrived today. Had a quick look and the sound on CD is badly out of sync. Not had a chance to see if it corrects itself or not.

Edit: just played the disc in my PS4 and the sound is perfectly in sync, issue only apparent when played on Xbox One.

Overall I like it.  There are a few times which seem suspicious in the way they are shot (quite a few DJ Ashba solos are only heard, not seen), so I conjecture some overdubs were recorded after the fact.  Some of the vocals seem overdubbed as well, though some parts are left "messy" (e.g. November Rain).  I guess this is the way of the world in music nowadays; everything must be polished to an inhuman degree, which I feel is unfortunate.  That being said, the chemistry amongst the band is obvious and the musicianship, with the exception of Ashba, is pretty much immaculate.  I'm glad it was finally released.  peace

I leave for vacation tomorrow and was really looking forward to having the soundtrack and movie on my iPad before I depart for a month.  nervous

RockFuel has said the revised date is 07/15 for the digital downloads.

you can download the stream using a video downloading app....i am in northern labrador now, where streaming isn't possible, so "theoretically" i could use the app to capture the stream on my iphone and bring it with me to watch on the plane and while i'm here.....you still have to buy the streaming version

I just received a response from Fantracks support verifying the above. Per the email, "Universal pushed back the download date to 7/15  - we don't control release dates". Oh well. Hope I can download using Wi-Fi while in Paris or Greece. Not the end of the world but a little disappointing based on their earlier response.

Yeh.  I don't notice the vocal overdubs on every song, but I do notice them occasionally, usually on Appetite tracks like WTTJ and Nightrain.  Maybe it's just the way it's mixed, but I kinda doubt it.

Is anyone else still waiting for their DVD or bluray that was ordered off of the fantrax app? I pre ordered it in June but still haven't gotten it. I've sent a message but no response. I just live in Canada, so it's not like it has to go to the other side of the world. Just wondering if anyone else is still waiting?

Amazing! Haven't got the DVD yet, since I've been on holiday, but seen the most of the songs on Youtube. Amazing soundquality, amazing footage, and Axl is totally outstanding here. This is even better than I expected! Would be cool if one of the CD songs here would work as a musicvideo. Catcher or Better maybe?

That sucks for alot of people BUT...  if your in Canada simply order from amazon.com or amazon.ca and you WILL get yours Smiley

Those in the UK; ordering from Amazon.com is a breeze - use your same account details and it ships within 3 weeks approx. I would always pay in local currency i.e. dollars just to make sure you're not uber screwed in conversion. BOOM - shiny new DVD to watch.

Band in great form - I'm pretty sure anyway, I was around but mostly drunk.
