I bought it and think the production is of the hightest quality.  Very happy with it.

Just the mere fact I was able to purchase a new GN?R release and will have a hard copy in my hands if Best Buy ever ships it out is a victory.

Seems like most of us ordered it online.

Did anybody manage to pick up a physical copy in a store?

One thing that bothered me about the show on AXS, and I am sure it is on the DVD, is the audience backfill at completely the wrong times. In the vid on AXS the crowd is supposedly going crazy during This I Love when in fact everyone is standing there and trying to listen to the words. I remember that the Joint went quiet as Axl sings this song. But this is a common problem that appeared on the Live Era CD also, and it is not unique to Guns. But it is annoying because it takes away the authenticity of the show. Other than that, I don't have big complaints about the AXS show except that Rocket Queen and Sorry were deleted. And there are obvious places where the edit cut can be heard. But in general it was a great show and I really liked the close ups when you can see Axl's eyes because that tells everything. They really had a lot of camera angles, I don't remember them all. Great production overall and I hope I get my DVD tomorrow as promised!

All Disc, All bands, official is Edited, maybe for you Dvd experience Fans is better, NYC Bitch Commite is Great

 ok

^ I am not really sure what you are trying to say, but two comments: I was at the show when they filmed and was just commenting on the AXS TV presentation for comparison; NYC Bitch Committee is apparently out of business and has been for about 1.5 years. I bought a bunch of stuff from him so I was sorry to see him go.

I plan on picking up a copy today after work. Best Buy has it available for pick up at my local store. Noticed it was listed as back ordered for shipping though.

I'm pretty sure it's only in stores in the US. I'm in Canada and the local walmarts and best buy don't have it and didn't know anything about it...I ordered mine online, but it would still be nice to see it in stores.

I'm going tonight to try to get a copy from my local Best Buy, but considering how "well" a job they did marketing the last GNR release I'm not really expecting much. We'll see.

Watching this in 2D blu-ray. What can I say, LOVE EVERY FUCKING SECOND OF IT! Fuck with all the negativity on Facebook, youtube and everywhere, can't believe what people comment on FB below the released videos.... really?Huh Peeps like & follow a band and then all they post is shit...most of them haven't been to a recent concert at all.

This release is easily one of the best live concerts released these days! I'm watching a bunch of live concerts on blu-ray, this definitely goes on the top of any list!

Peace out, I'm back to enjoying this, will open a beer now.

I went to an independent record store and they had one copy on Blu-ray and one copy on DVD. I bought the Blu-ray.

As far as the big national chains, as far as I can tell, Best Buy, FYE and Barnes & Noble are stocking the title in most of their stores. Walmart, Target and Kmart are not stocking in store.

Wow, great job putting a great concert to film. I enjoyed watching the whole show - including the so-called interviews, which seemed to be more "I'm from -blank- I joined the band in -blank- and Axl isn't a dick"

SLAM DUNK!!!

« Reply #1297 on: July 01, 2014, 09:34:04 PM »

Just finished watching!!!  Grin
Absolutely well worth getting this!!!!
GNR put on one of, if not THE BEST shows ever!!!
Watching this made me realize how much the CD songs have become another awesome part of GNR lore as much as the AFD or Illusions era material.
I'm glad they kept the solos & jams in because they really highlight the talent these guys have.
And Axl of course is the ultimate.  (during Civil War, I could swear Axl was channeling the persona of Charles Bronson ... the look ... the attitude ... amazing!)

I don't have a blu-ray player or 3D tv so I got the plain dvd version (from amazon) and watched on my computer so for me it was like watching a movie of a concert, as opposed to like watching a live stream of the show.

I picked mine up at my local Best Buy.  It wasn't in the new releases section, but in the back with other Music DVDs.  They had about 4 of each ( blu ray, DVD).   Watching it right now and it's awesome ! The booklet to the sound, everything sounds and looks excellent.  One question, does anybody know what backing vocals Tommy is singing at the end of Chinese Democracy ?

picked up the blu ray at Best Buy today, they were pretty well stocked about 10 copies which is about standard for a live music dvd.  Really looking forward to watching it tomorrow. Packaging and booklet look great.
