Maybe they mean former members? Slash and Duff are still co-owners of "GNR MUSIC." Although Axl has the largest interest in the company, Slash and Duff would have to approve any sync license granted for classic GNR music.

How can you determine fault in any sort of accurate and meaningful way without understanding the root cause?

If it was a licensing issue, I think it's pretty clear it was a disagreement amongst the partners in the old band/those who have a say in the licensing in the old band's music.

its just the same shit over and over again , I am still waiting for the VH1 special


and i dont even care about it being in theaters... just wanted the blue ray since the day i was at the show and they said it was being filmed...

im not keeping my hopes up anymore

What, the concert?

That happened.  But Team Brazil was very unhappy with the song selection and made that known.  Consequently, there will be no encore presentations.

Shame, because what they showed was good, I thought.  

But no one knew what songs were going to be selected for air until the broadcast aired.  Much like President Obama, they found out when they saw it on TV, just like you folks.

As to the cancellation of the theatrical showings?  Maybe, depending on the individual's job function.  As far as the root cause?  Who knows, really?
