I know people are ragging on Rose's voice in the Paradise City spot...but maybe its why its a preview. Maybe that won't be on the DVD at all. Its just a preview of what to expect in a sense on the DVD they release.

Yeah! They are really not going to have Paradise City on the DVD.....

I'd assume that this isn't the final mix of the audio - it's not great. I think part of the problem that people are having with the vocal is that it's not sitting well in the mix - the instruments are much lower, which is making the vocal jump out a lot more than it should. I've heard soundboard recordings that sounded this good - his voice sounds pretty dry, and the overall sound just isn't very lively. That said, I can't help but expect that the final release will sound much fatter.

The vocal could be better, but you can't expect a lot from a rock singer that late in a show. I'd question more the decision to release this song, instead of something earlier in the night when his voice was stronger, than the singing itself. People who are talking about stage singers and the like - whatever. That's not the same discipline as being a rock singer - completely different ball game.

"The final DVD and Cinema version will be mixed in stereo and 5.1 surround. Musically, this is a very tight live performance. We look forward to you experiencing the fully mixed and edited concert film/ DVD ! For now, enjoy this rare captured treasure from a true Legend and great band ! (unmixed)"

Yeah! I was fucking there and loved every second. I have no idea why people who were not there are complaining about Axl's voice, it was excellent throughout the entire show. Superb show from start to finish.

Since its in 3D, that all but assures a Blu-Ray release as I've never seen a 3D DVD ever.  That in itself is pretty awesome.

IMHO, a professional recording of a live performance lets you appreciate the vocal performance more clearly than the sound coming out of the speakers at the venue.

Not necessarily. The professional recording might be altered.

At the venue you hear how it's supposed to sound at that venue.

So what you're judging is the recording itself. Not the live performance.

It's kinda like having somebody telling you what happened. But unless you were there, you can't get a proper idea. You're only getting an account of what it was like.

You can watch and/or listen to a live recording at home, but you can't get the proper experience unless you were there.

Makes me think that we will never see the London show on a blue ray. Can't see them releasing two concerts, here's hoping.

I agree, except your analogy is a little extreme...its really somewhere inbetween someone telling you about it and actually being there, but more towards the latter than the former.

BTW, I would love bonus stuff.  Do we know if its possible that they may have recorded some behind the scenes stuff with the band?  That would make something awesome even better!

It's about time that GN'R has a new DVD on store shelves showcasing the current band, and how awesome they are. It's hard to believe that GN'R has not released a DVD of a live performance since Tokyo 92. All of the amazing shows Guns put on from 1999-2011 have not been showcased. And I think that's a part of the problem with people not knowing who is in the band, or that the line-up has changed SO much since the Tokyo 92 shows. It's an easy mistake to make for a casual fan who has seen that old DVD on the shelves for the last 10 years.  Undecided

I wish there was a DVD with a huge setlist which every song would be from a different country.

I wonder if it'll be the full 3+ hour show or will some of the solos be edited? If it is released in theaters (which i hope!), 3 hours seems long (not for me, but just for a movie in general). Whereas for a home release, there'd be less reason to cut the time down. I hope it's definitely the full show. I love the solos and jams. Either way, looks like i'm finally gonna have to breakdown* and get a blu-ray player...

(*would still love to see the new lineup play this one live)

Hi to everyone. My first post on this forum.

Does anyyone know if as well as the cinema/dvd/blu ray release of this if there will be a companion live/soundtrack cd? I would have imagined so but just thought Id ask.

Should be an awesome film. Im a fan of all eras of Guns but this line up is a massively talented group of musos and as others have said they deserve this time in the limelight

PS If there are anyfellow NZ Guns fans on here whod like to chat feel free to PM me.
