Watched the trailer and the footage looks good. I did notice that 20 years later the promotion of early GN'R music is still heavily favored with not a single song from Chinese Democracy included in the trailer.

I'm guessing you need a 3D TV to watch the DVD?

Pretty cool! I am really excited to own this when it comes out.

How about a CD release of this as well? Sell it by itself or combined with the bluray like Led Zep did with Celebration Day. Pretty awesome way to get GNR in the charts too.

Without question AFD is a better known Album than CD, it is inevitable that they will use these tracks to curry favour with old fans and new ones alike, watching the dvd will introduce CD songs to newly acquainted fans and see that this version of Gn'FR is not just a session band but have real talent. If all is okay with CD2 being released shortly after this dvd and sells well, don't be surprised to see CD1 being re-released with maybe bonus material added. No evidence of this, but would be damage limitation after the shambles that happened in 2008.

So I wonder if the entire show is going to be in this release or if they cut out the solos? Rock fuel media put a link on their Facebook regarding the Korn, Jane's addiction, smashing pumpkins and GNR shows they're releasing this summer and in the GNR paragraph it says 20 songs and a bit over 2 hours...I think I counted 22 songs without solos and jams and if you add the 5 solos it's 27 songs and about 3 hours...I just really hope they don't ruin this amazing DVD by editing out portions of the show...that would be incredibly dissapointing! Here's the paragraph...The GUNS ?N ROSES: APPETITE FOR DEMOCRACY IN 3D concert was filmed in 3D November 21, 2012, during GNR?s highly successful, sold-out 12-date ?Appetite For Democracy? residency at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The 20-song, two-hour plus show covers their entire career and is signature GNR bombast, replete with a flying piano that carries frontman Axl Rose out over the audience during ?November Rain.? The 3D experience brings fans right into the arena from the opening riff of ?Welcome To The Jungle? through the spectacular final of ?Paradise City.? Check out the trailer here: http://rockfuel.com/#!guns-n-roses/

once again the promo clip is full of songs being released from GN'R 1987-1991 era. why not one single CD song? that album came out 4,5 years ago! was this done by purpose and not by the Axl camp?

Perhaps showing a band and songs people know... so they buy this dvd.
if they hear all the new (CD songs) they might not know who the F*ck this band is...

it's logical!

Complain for the sake of complaining.

See, other people get it. Why would you use the most known songs to promote a concert film? Why on earth would you do that?

Unbelievable that you feel the need to bring this shit up every time.

Why not complain about the set list too whole you're at it?  rofl

off course its the best thing to do - for you, Jarmo, all Axl does or does not is great, great, great  hihi
putting the new band in the spotlight by promoting the songs recorded and released by the 1987-1993 aint that much logical. wait, CD promoting didnt start yet? ok, i got it!  Wink

Seems to me that if Guns N' Roses (the company) wants to make some money they should promote a DVD featuring music that most people in the world would possibly know...  Call me crazy...  But if I were the marketing person behind promoting the DVD, I'd do the same...

See? That's exactly the point.

So many get it, but not the ones who always find things to complain about!

You'd have to be a special kind of stupid if you think no band would promote a live concert film using only the newest songs instead of their most known material.

By the way Limulus, I doubt Axl sat down and edited this trailer. But that's just my guess.
