It looks like Patrick Stone maybe is involved with this Izzy Stradlin project? According to Stone's Facebook account, he has been posting a few photos of the session and on his webpage he writes that "Patrick is now back in LA, writing and recording a new album for a brand new project that will launch early 2013. " Maybe he means Izzy's project?!

IzzyDutch is correct, that last bottom photo that I posted with Izzy sitting alone is from the "Smoke" session back in 2009. The one above it is from the current recording session.

Timo does play on 3 songs on the "Smoke" album... presumably the tracks Snow and Smoke (cause the lead guitars doesn't sound like Rick), and one other that's a mystery

Smoke info:

According to Rick Richards (who talked in person at a studio with a guy/musician from Beenafix) it's recorded a bit JJH style. As in seperate tracks over a couple of months, with also having a JJH feel. Recorded in 2009 it started in March at Nomad Studios in Dallas and was finished at Flower Studios in California. On the last couple of sessions, it was just Rick and JT in the studio as Taz and Izzy had already finished their parts. And early last month Timo Kaltio did some stuff with JT, there's also a studio pic:

On Timo Kaltio's MySpace:

I wrote 3 more songs with Izzy in November 2009, again with J.T. Had a great time...!!

"spoke" about it with Timo last nite, he told he didnt play any songs on Smoke, when he came to LA Smoke was already recorded so he didnt even spend time with band in studio on Smoke session, Timo told photo is from Fire session...

Last summer asked Timo to sign Smoke cd-cover n then he told me 1st time he doesnt play on that cd...

Ok! Well in that case I stand corrected.. Smiley

I remember 'Fire' was recorded at Izzy's house in LA.. and since this was a studio environment, along with the comments posted earlier.. but thanks for the info Cool
