@billy, answering @AaronDesvaux question - "I think @axlrose is one of the best rock singers, ever. Period. Would be honored to write a song with him." - Sept 8 2012, 7:25 EST.

I guess that would be cool for some people, but I hate the smashing pumpkins with a passion so I wouldn't care for it.

I think it would be cool. I could see Axl doing it and even other projects. Who ever would have thought he would sing with Tom Petty? That worked. How about Axl pull a Robert Plant and work with T-Bone Burnett and create something like Raising Sand? That is one of the best album in the last 10 years.

Would be great!  Billy is the real deal--he doesn't forget when Axl gave them opening slots in 1991 during the early Illusion tours, and mentioned them as one of his favs in many widely read interviews during that period!  Unlink some assholes (Mr. Reznor). I don't care what anyone thinks, I really am enjoying Corgan's songwriting journey.  I think he has written some great stuff lately, and they killed it when I saw them a year ago!

Really nice comments about Axl from Billy, that's the cool part for me. As for the collaboration, I'm not a Smashing Pumpkins fan at all so the only interest I would have from it would be Axl's involvement.

Corgan , like Axl is pretty unique when it comes to their styles and songwriting. I'd be all for some kind of collaboration.

Billy's newest album, Oceania is quite good. Best thing he's put out since the original group disbanded.

I'm not a fan of Billy Corgan. His voice annoys me. For me, his voice is like nails on a chalk board. It's good though he mentioned something cool about Axl.

I would think a Smashing Pumpkins/GNR tour would be great ! I've always wanted to see the Smashing Pumpkins.

Why must it drift away and die?

I like Smashing Pumpkins, it'd be great if Axl worked with Billy. Billy also supported Axl's decision about not going to the HOF btw.

Recent interviews Billy has a problem w/ bands playing their back catologues live instead of new songs..In my opinion up until the last tour GN'R were playing too much AFD...The last tour the set list has fairly represented the AFD,UYI N' CD eras...Love it, regardless o' what the Pumpkin guy says you have to put the hits in...Years agao Billy Joel attempted to do a set list of lesser known songs n' on the 2nd night of the tour he went back to the hits because he felt the crowd was flat and not responding on the 1st night...You have to have a special crowd to play the lesser known songs...

I think with any band they can usually do a mix of lesser known songs and classic hits . I'd love to see more covers and maybe with the Vegas shows we will see Axl cover some Elton John songs as well as some more Rolling Stones.

NO MORE COVERS!!!! LALD, KNOHD N' 2 AC/DC covers are/were enough..I prefer more GN'R originals..Some nuggets like Perfect Crime,Locomotive,Pretty Tied Up etc would be cool..Or just the setlist from the last tour, loved it..I  also enjoy the intro snippets GN'R play.
