Keep whining and I'll keep pointing out that the band isn't gonna do shit any faster because of you. 

Sorry I don't share your political beliefs... Nor your need to "post my opinion" about the new music not being out today, or yesterday, or last week.....

This is a GN'R fan site, if there are other topics here that are discussed that have nothing to do with GN'R, those are just an added bonus. Obviously we don't expect anyone that comes here to share their taste in music outside of GN'R, nor do we expect their preferences in sports teams, or anything else outside of GN'R, to be exactly the same.

But regarding GN'R, if you're here, I expect you to be a fan. If your idea of a fan is someone who complains about GN'R every day (like it's Festivus 365 days a year), then you might be in the wrong place. This is no secret. My opinion has been this for decades.

With that in mind, if you think your frustrations are something new and original that no one ever heard before, think again.... Guess what?! We've heard it before! Try 2001. Or 2005? Maybe 2017? Or 2019 if you want something more recent.... The point is, you're just repeating something that's been said every year since the last album was released...

Is a fan someone who wants them to build on their legacy while they have a chance? I believe it is

May be hard for you to believe or understand - but this band means as much to me and others who post as they do to you.

They put out a new album - do you honestly believe you are more excited to hear it than anyone else?
Don't tell anyone what a fan is

It's just that your head unravels and go full exorcist when someone points out something honest and dare I say negative about them............maybe that's your aim and intent - no way of knowing

Just change the name of the thread to "Only positive posts please" - it may save you some stress

I'll leave it alone - but what stirred this one up was watching a new poster get on here and make some valid points about how insane it is that they have not made an album in so long - and you went full attack mode - judgement and labeling

Then we get the same diatribe about whining and how the band doesn't do things because we want them to...just utter crap

What if that guy is a lifelong fan who never joined a message board - finally decided to and wanted to figure out if anyone else shared his frustrations and wanted to kick around some conversation. As long as it's respectful enough and not dropping F-bombs (See your post's opener  why go that route?

First you say the topics have different importance. So you obviously get some of it....

Let me explain then: Trump's doings actually affects most of us. Whether you live in the USA or not. GN'R not putting out albums on your schedule, has less effect on the world.

For example, GN'R didn't pull out of the Paris agreement.  

Go ahead, keep whin... expressing your frustrations and thoughts. But so can I, for example when I remind you that the sooner you realize GN'R is GN'R and do things their way, the better.

Slash: We did a week of initial pre-production and there’s 20 songs and we’re gonna start back up next year. I spent a lot of time writing and demoing that stuff. And prior to that Duff (McKagan) and I did some jamming and we also worked on the Guns record, and I’ve had a couple of ancillary recordings and jams on top of that, so there’s been a lot of stuff going on. I’m really not good at slowing down and just sitting around.

When do you think we’ll hear some of this music?

Slash: I would like to think that we’d have some new stuff out next year -- from both camps, I guess. It’s hard to say, but I would like to think we’ll have stuff out next year, yeah.

jarmo is not wielding the mod hammer over the complaints (so long as they are respectful and comply with the rules of the board), here.  You can see it over the last 400+ pages. 

On the flip side, jarmo is allowed to express his opinion....like the REST of the posters here....on content.  It really seems to me like the ones who are trying to censor someone are the ones telling jarmo he can't express his opinion on the content.

If you disagree with jarmos take....great. Make your case.  But telling him he can't or shouldn't comment? You're literally doing exactly what you're accusing him of.
