Yeah, I think it would be digital. Or maybe vinyl! Vinyl singles still exist....

/jarmo

People actually buy and studios actually release a record.  With one song on it?  I remember this from the 90s and 80s, but didn't think they still did it

For those of you wanting the long album (74 min):

How would you like the mix of rockers and ballads?

Would be nice to just get a 12 track recording all of rockers

The album will be ready when it is ready, has zero bearing on what your self- important "statements" online say.

It's a fan board, people have different opinions. It's in the nature of the "fan" to speculate and discuss around something as big as an album release.

Speculating and discussion are great, the negativity gets to be a bit much at times as do some of the constant criticisms imo.

I'm very amped about the upcoming release and I'm working extra hours so I will be able to take off and travel for the tour.

I picked my vacation at work the other night.   Sorta worked in a mythical gnr tour in there as well.   As long as they. Do not tour in sept or oct I will be ok for seeing them.....   Come one June or November!!!

That was my initial thought as well. Maybe two ballads in between. An acoustic song would be welcome with me.

Would guns really put tour plans on hold so DJ could tour with a guy from motley crew?

Doubtful. Dj has said that GNR is his #1 priority.

That's great to hear.  I am starting to warm up to this DJ guy.  It's only been how many years now? Hahah

Sometimes it seems like the plans change, well.. Because there were really no plans.

So DJ says "guns n roses will be doing quite a bit of touring in 2015".

Did that plan change all ready?  Or did they just not really have one to begin with?

Doesn't matter to me.  I just want to see them live this year!

Look, Dj said that at a time when the SixxAM tour was already announced.

Isn't it safe to assume that GNR's tour plans starts in May at the earliest?

Why would he say that GNR will be touring if there was no plan to begin with? Makes no sense.

Well I don't think DJ is in tight with the whole touring arrangements for gnr or anything

But it could of gone as simply as this.  Axl says to DJ last time they play together, "hey bro, keep your self free next year guns is going to tour quite a bit."  DJ says "ok Axl!!"

Then DJ comes out and says that guns is going to tour quite a bit this year.

There never had to be a plan

Back when the original guys broke up.  This is all you heard from them. 12 tracks all of rockers no ballads

I want to hear everything Axl has done.  Everything he has recorded and not released

But when time comes to make new music again.  That's what I want. 12 rockers.  No ballads

Unless the plan was, that he just wanted to tour and then changed his mind.  Not much of a plan

But what do we have so far if there was a plan.   Venues should be booked, promotions out there, tickets being sold.

That's if there was a plan

If it was just a, we want to tour next year and will put a plan together type thing. Well that's different

But that's not the impression I got

I think you're overanalyzing this.

Again, it's only February. A tour can still be announced later in the year.

I can't understand why you're going on about there being no plan just because they haven't announced anything yet. Promotion and ticket sales doesn't start before they announce the tour.

Lol I thought I explained why I was a little snappy about this earlier....

And yes you are right.  First you announce the tour, then sell tickets etc...

So what do u think there plan is for touring this year?

I have no idea really. May at the earliest.

Anyways, this is a bit off topic.  Wink

I agree, 12 songs.
 - 2 long heavy epic songs.
 - 2 ballads.
The rest, a mix of good rock n roll songs.. some close to classic GNR, and some really heavy stuff.

Thats what i  drool for

They should use the basic sound from Afd, UYI, CD and should integrate some new ideas (from Richard and DJ) too.

I disagree on the "Not the US".

I think they should definitely do the US, BUT, they have to do it smarter than they have.  Stick to large metro areas.  Stick to a couple shows per geographic region (ie: Boston and NYC..but not hartford, Albany, Trenton, and Baltimore), or, alternately, stick to a smaller theater tour.

They can do a successful US tour...they just can't try to play every city between Maine and Mexico.

Agreed. I'd like to see them do NY, Chicago, Detroit, Miami, LA, Dallas, Houston, Vegas, Montreal, Toronto, Seattle, Boston ... just the real big cities.. promote the shit out of them and get some monster sell outs going
