I was referring simply to our personal interactions.  Let's face it, our initial batch wasn't pleasant.  But once I told you that you were out of your fucking mind if you thought I was going to do that sort of bickering every day with you, or that the board at large was at all interested in how much you didn't like me, I don't think we've had a problem.

The connotations hit me somewhat differently.

I think we have completely different mindsets as well as values, priorities, convictions and viewpoints, and are fully cognizant that "never the twain shall meet".

Honestly?

It usually brings about a good conversation with a decent back and forth and no problems...until you saunter in and shut it down.

The disconnect is that you don't think they should happen, ever.  You also grossly oversell both the frequency and severity of these alleged treasonous conversations.

If your only acceptable stances to take are "everything is awesome" and "its not for me to say" (in place of saying anything critical), its not the most stimulating conversation.

I've seen enough to know better than to assume, that just because somebody can choose an username and type in their e-mail address to register, that they're actually a fan that loves the band and supports them. Didn't expect you to get that. It was illustrating real actual fans being EXCITED about seeing their favorite band live! Imagine that. And not having to deal with people whining about the setlist,  or so called track records for that matter.

This is how you conduct your interesting discussions.  Seen it before.

No, I'm talking cold hard facts.

There is a reason so few GNR fans come here, and its your restrictive and often oppressive rules and regulations.

Now, to be fair, some posters are right with you and think you are just doing god's work.  I am obviously not speaking about them.

But there is another large contingent of your regular posters here that don't agree with your stance or take on much of anything.  But we are still fans of the current band and their future.

Therefore, we make the value judgment that we are willing to put up with all your nonsense if it means being able to seriously discuss the current state of our favorite band with other fans still interested in what they do.  

You often erroneously label us as some sort of GNR hate squad.  In actual fact, we are some of their biggest modern day fans.  We are willing to play by your silly rules, no matter how silly we may find them, in order to talk about the band.  90 plus percent of GNR online fans are not.  And we are asked at other boards if we need our heads examined for coming here.

But here we are.  Day after day after day.  Taking all your abuse, phony arguments, outright lies about things with no basis in fact.  We take it all.  

Because talking about the band with other fellow fans is worth it enough to deal with all that crap.

Now, occasionally people come here who liked the band in 1988 or 2002, they act like fans, they tell us they're fans but they spend most of the time here telling everybody how much GN'R sucks and what a failure it is. I'm sorry if I have no sympathy for these people or feel the need to make them feel extra welcome. This whole thing has been explained to you over and over again and yo just don't fucking get it.
