Does anyone remember the 'three hour meeting' thing? ''Fernando's breaking news, a three hour meeting''. And in typical Guns N' Roses fashion, nothing came of this, three hour meeting!!

Was that the last we heard from him?

Ah, the big time answer.  The plugged in and you're not answer.  I sort of figured.

If you had figured it out, there would've been no reason for your clueless smart ass post.

Some of us aren't basing our opinions on people on what we read on the Internet. Common sense.
Yet every time you need to be reminded about that simple fact.

I think so. Presumably the result of the three hour meeting was another tour of Brazil!

Name one manager that's been in it for the fans? It's called the music business.

Just remember, the management you hate so much has given you everything that happened in the GN'R world pretty much since the end of 2011. The interviews, the shows, the tours, the live streams, the concert movie....

Here I am, a GN'R fan pointing out that I think it's weird you hate people who were part of making all that happen. Things that many fans have enjoyed. Fans have actually enjoyed the active band and the new concert movie release.

So why the hate? Managers who managed to get less done get admired to the left and right. But not current management. Makes you wonder why...
The usual answer is "I don't think they can do the job". And what exactly is it that you know about the job then? All the so called qualified managers are gone. Forgot that part? Doesn't matter how qualified you are if you're the wrong person for the job. Simple as that. But some have a hard time with it and we get the usual bullshit as seen in above posts.

Nobody has mentioned the word 'hate' here.

I watched one clip of the Vegas dvd and fell over laughing it was that bad. Axl has largely retreated into being a Vegas greatest hits act under TB's stewardship. Am I supposed to praise them for it? I am sorry jarmo but I do not have your perseverance - you might say I fail as a 'fan' here.

I used a stronger word to paint a picture.

You don't like Las Vegas, we get it. Doesn't take away any of the rest.
For example the European tour in 2012 had very little to do with Las Vegas. Maybe you object to that too?

I saw that. Good tour. Exact same setlist as previous years though and there were absent rows in front of me. I think TB have killed off Axl's markets.

Can I ask why you went?  You would have had to know that the setlist was going to basically be the same and that appears to be something you're not fond of.  So why go?

It wasn't the same. Estranged performed in 2012 alone makes it different! You change one thing and it's not the same anymore. That's the meaning of same.
At least they didn't tour in Europe since 2012 so you didn't have to go....  hihi

They would certainly take a reduction in ticket sales if they did as TB have destroyed their markets. North America is now a no go area unless they play in a casino with a bunch of glitter balls. Such is the way, greatness, sinks!

Ridiculous to say that TB destroyed their markets. Many cities in the US only played once or even not at all. Cities played more than once typically had up close and personal.

Because the markets are destroyed due to over-playing. The 'UCAP' is spin of the highest order.

Can you answer me this? Could Guns play a North American arena tour, and for it to sell reasonably well?

I fear the answer is, no. The reason is, TB have flooded the market with a moribund show. They have destroyed Axl's North American fan base. All you are left with is Vegas and Brazil. TB are perhaps the most incompetent management in the industry.

Guns could do a coast to coast tour of Canada and come close to selling out arenas in every province
I am sure guns could do very well with a few major concerts in Mexico as well

Both those countries are part of North America, so to answer your question I think they would do just fine.   If they picked there spots

Now do I think they could tour coast to coast in the United States and come close to selling out arenas?.

Not a chance.   I blame the American fan base for more of this than anything though

I do think guns could pick there spots around the states and come close to selling out arena if not selling them out.  New York, la, Texas....

Las Vegas is having a huge rock in USA concert in May.   Put on by the same people that put on rock in rio.   Why isn't guns playing this show?

I do not see Guns playing an United States arena tour again because they have over booked themselves on tours which actually, mean nothing: same show; no new product to plug. Peter Grant would pull Zeppelin off the road, despite avid demand for more dates, because he knew the power of building up large amounts of expectation while shrouding the band in a certain level of, mystique.

You are ridiculous, total whiner with mistaken precepts who is doing nothing more here than trying to spin everything in an anti- GNR direction in virtually every single topic.

A healthy mind does not live to complain, a balanced person does not revisit things that obviously make them miserable.

The constant negativity and toxic comments spewing out of your whiny liar- hole are becoming very tiresome. rant

I'm  already looking forward to the next tour, wherever it may be. love

So how many tours have you personally booked? How many shows have you promoted?

If you weren't aware it has been "a few" years since zepplin has toured extensively and the music business, as well as the entire world has changed.

The balance between, demand, and market overkill, is as true now as it was in Zeppelin's day. All that has changed is the uncertainty of linking tours around an album product.

Without being pedantic about it - 14 Years and Dead Flowers in 2012...   certainly wasnt something done on previous recent tours with or without Izzy.  Pretty bloody unexpected too.  beer
As Jarmo said, Estranged,  and also Civil War..(i think that was more of a 2012 staple?) these last two are huge songs that fans had wanted to hear live again for years!   WAY too much of a sweeping statement (and untrue) that it was the "exact same setlist as previous years"

Can you please give it a rest with ur hatred of America... We get it...

The US Gnr fanbase, (the home fanbase of GNR btw, this is an American band) is the least accepting of GNR without Slash. Just the way it is... stop crying about it.

Many years ago I posted I thought GNR were playing too many places in the USA... places that were very remote... Albany, some places in the South etc etc ... I got blasted for it ... told I should be thankful they are playing at all ... but my point at the time was I was concerned that they wouldn't sell well and cause the band to gain negative press for it
