I wonder if the record company would release new song(s) and an UYI reissue within a short time span?

Let's say the band wants to release songs during the tour legs in the second half of the year. Would that mean the record company would wait with the UYI reissue? Or release it with hopes of the buzz, created by the new songs and tour, selling some extra copies of the reissue?

Good question. For me, if it’s a choice between the two, I’d much rather single releases. However, I’m aware that the UYI re-issue would have the better potential for revenue gain. So I’m hoping they do both.

Im all for singles, an album seems to be a daunting task for them, so let them release all the singles they want, when they have about ten, call it an album

I think, focus on releasing new songs for now, merely because folk are expecting it. The box set would make more sense in September, possibly, after people have paid out for holidays etc.. and people are starting to think about Xmas.

I was just thinking that. It's the kind of thing people would buy as a Christmas present. For someone else, or themselves...

Call it a hunch but I think we’ll (hopefully) see the boxset and some single releases this year. Will an album follow eventually? Hard to say.

My guess is a new surprise single or two during the tour. One during the summer and one during the fall.

The boxset like you said october-december time. That  said didnt the appetite boxset come out during the 2018 european tour?

Yes it did.

And Shadow Of Your Love was added to the setlist in Europe.

Y'all know that few take a dimmer view on new material than I.

But honestly, I probably more expect than doubt another single once the touring starts up again.

GnR is the kind of band that has never bowed down to expectation and demand. Maybe it was a mistake for Slash to say the 2 songs would be released. It creates pressure on the band to deliver and, as we all know, GnR does things it’s own way. Maybe that’s why we love the band so much  Cool

No, those are the excuses and rationalizations we try and delude ourselves with.

Other fanbases look at us like we are total cranks.  Which we would as well, if this were another band he didn't love to unhealthy levels.
