Would a similar logic be fair to tracks like It's so easy or Yesterdays?  When writing outside the band, it's not the band until you bring it in.
It would be cool of course to have Just another Sunday and so on but if they were never brought to the band like Yesterdays I can see the point and it's up to the band.

Would be cool though to get the additional tracks recorded by the band for Spagetti Incident, like Beer and a cigarette, Hanoi rocks. I have never heard that one nor the original.

I think it depends on who it was for and owns it. It's So Easy and Yesterdays were obviously meant for GN'R. The tracks that didn't make UYI, might have not been meant for GN'R...

No idea whether or not the "TSI?" tracks would be part of anything relating to the UYI re-issue.

As much as I’d love to see a UYI box set anniversary edition, I’m really hoping for a new record this year (if it’s a choice between the two). After all, the AFD box set wasn’t released in the exact year of its 30 year anniversary so the UYI release could theoretically be released next year

Crash Diet and JAS aren't Guns songs for good reason; they're way below the standards of Guns. Seriously, it's baffling to me that anyone cares about those songs, and they almost certainly wouldn't if they weren't tangentially tied to Guns.

My mistake TSI tracks should of course be a part of a TSI re-issue. Has it ever been released on vinyl? I recall it was straight to cd. As apart of a re-issue it would be supercool to get the tracks Izzy recorded with his guitar on them.

I totally agree on JAS, but I always thought Crash Diet was interesting, would have liked to hear a more polished final version of that.

Yes I have it on vinyl from years ago, it might be orange?  Not sure if I own the orange one or not.  I have to look.

Same perfect world we would get both at some point.  Personally I would buy any type of box set for the Illusions, they are what made me a fan of the band and are still my favorite albums of all time.  The amount of footage they must have from 91-93 has to be insane, I would love to see and hear it. Personally a big Illusion box set would excite just as much as a new record.

Ac/Dc managed to come up with a new album...and one of their main songwriters and  guitarists is dead!...and their singer is like deaf but still...

For what it's worth, they used a ton of the dead guy's stuff.  peace

Yeah thats what I mean. Malcolm "managed" to release new music while dead. He co-wrote all the new songs.I have slightly higher expectations on people being alive.

Anyone willing to throw some odds out there on a new album this year?

I say 50/50 at this point

The chances for new music are pretty much the same that Mary Swanson gave to Lloyd Christmas.

So yeah, I'm saying there's a chance.

Are you saying there's only a 10% chance of that? Like with Nordberg's 50/50 chance of living....

Before covid they were billing Europe as something new on the horizon.  I'm not seeing anything like that in what they are advertising now.

Serious question. Which group are you guys in?

G: It's likely there will be new music released this year because they didn't last year (we're getting closer to a release every day)?

R: It's likely nothing will be released because they didn't release anything last year (nothing ever changes)?

I'm in G myself.

Third group N, interested but just don't know.

How can you be in G?  You can use the word hopeful.  Can't use likely.  Been on this train too long to bet the odds.
