CD is the girlfriend you had during your trial separation from the wife.

It got you through and made sense at the time.  But you eventually wised up and now, everyone couldn't be happier.

WTF??  By that analogy, your wife is now raising your mistress's baby.  confused
She may be doing a very good job of it and really enjoy the baby but still a constant reminder for everyone that there was a time...

And you still have to deal with all the shit from ignorant relatives n' friends who don't want that bastard child around.

Yeah no kidding.  That's a stupid analogy

I am really sure wlsomeones wife would really love getting back together, then you constantly talking about the girlfriend you had while you were split up   Haha it would actually pretty funny.  In the middle of family dinner you say to your wife.  Brenda this is great chicken, Samantha would of just loved this meal.  You remember Samantha right?  The woman I was banging while we were in a break.  Hahaha

A better analogy would be CD is the baby your ex had while you were on a break and now you have to help raise the baby.  CD is the Jon Snow of the GNR Stark universe.   Winter is coming

Hahahaha

Yeah, maybe "kid" was better than "mistress" in that example.  Point taken.

Hahaha. I'm loving all the analogies. And I pretty much agree with you, DX.
I'm not a CD fan, but I have to say that Slash and Duff are being great stepfathers to the album. Still don't love the songs, but they're much better now IMO. I just wish they don't over protect this child, because he's the complicated one, and remember they have middle children, twins, that also need attention.

Wonder what the chances are of some recording being done over the next couple of months before touring resumes. I know Axl is back in AC/DC for a few weeks, but the rest of the band is free as far as I know.   I guess it depends on whether adding them to the existing tracks is a priority right now, as in whether Axl wants to get an album out sooner than later.

I'd say Axl's made it pretty clear he's in no hurry to put new songs out. Hard to blame him really when there's a world full of stadiums of people wanting to see him, Slash and Duff do the greatest hits.

You're more than likely correct.  I guess all the hubbub about Metallica's upcoming fall album has me a bit jealous haha.  I'm probably reaching here.

I will say that Slash definitely gets restless to write & record new music.  Whether that'll play into his time in Guns N' Roses remains to be seen. This reunion has been such a long time coming for all of them, he may very well be content to showcase his legacy and tour the hits for a good while before getting antsy & suggesting studio time to Axl.  However, if Axl/management/the label sets it up for them, I don't see how Slash wouldn't immediately dive into it.

I think that this was one of the reasons why Chris has left the band. No new music since almost a decade.

Nah, I think that was just his front after he left under obviously acrimonious circumstances.

Two Reasons: A) He was promoting his involvement in Coachella on Twitter before management told him to knock it off. B) This was also the guy who brushed off putting out another Guns album in that douchey interview on Youtube where he said "There's no reason to put out an album."

So I don't know why Pitman left, but I can't believe it hinged on the release of new music.

He seemed to leave of his own accord about the same way a guy very publicly dumped in a crowded restaurant tells people it was mutual.

Do you honestly believe Pitman would quit of his own free will ?

I remember some sorta interview with Axl years ago about who would be the firs guy if he had to let go and he soda Chris.   I laughed as I thought it was some sorta inside joke.

What about all those ghost pictures from the studios!!!   Yeah that really didn't pan out

Pitman really queered his patch with those Twitter ramblings. Besides which it seems Axl is happy to take GNR in a retro direction rather than the industrial/electronica influenced direction C.D. era always seemed to be heading in. I'm thinking the combination of the latter and Pitman's ingratitude made him pretty easy to let go of. By most accounts Melissa has better stage presence and backing vocals anyway.
